Everytime I see a cheesecake video or recipe I lose my mind. My mom use to make this cheesecake that I loved as a kid, but she's 94 and can't find the recipe or recall how she made it because she hasn't done it in so long. But it wasn't the consistency of your average cheesecake which is fairly firm. This was super creamy (almost like Jello but more dense/creamy), rich and also a somewhat tart taste to it and with cherrys on top. I have tried so many recipes and nothing has come close. Even thought maybe it was a no-bake so I tried one from the Jello brand but as soon as I saw the color was an off whitish I knew it wasn't it. The one my mom made was white like a normal cheesecake.

My Aunt Ruthie used to make one too, snow white, tangy with cherries on top, and no one knows the recipe for it. She passed from breast cancer 15 years ago and I miss her and her cooking.
