Can You Beat Final Fantasy X-2 Using Only NPCs?

It's been a while since I have done a Final Fantasy X-2 Challenge Run but this is something I had in the back of my mind for the last year or so already so I thought it'd be a good time to give this one a shot.
We are going through the game using only NPCs to show that YRP is not as important as they think they are. This is probably going to be the last Final Fantasy related challenge for a while since I already got a lot of other games lined up which will probably keep me busy throughout the rest of the year!

@@alexandremontesinos7876 it’s not rocket science. The music from X was on a different level from anything before imo and X 2 is on a different level from that. Critical thinking goes a long way. Further more 10 others understood it yet you couldn’t. What does that say 😂

Yes, silly question. My old she-goon and snakes with gunheads (cant recall names because I renamed them) were elite! But using buddy and brother would be doable too.

I saw the title and was like... Yes, yes you can... And it in fact is easier than using main characters! Logos and Lulu ftw in that game ❤️ Yaibal is in the first playthrough a very helpful guy.

The combat gameplay in this is so damn good. But isn't it funny some of its biggest fans don't care much about the combat and the FF fans who are into the combat the most are the least likely to like this FF xD

Hi Bro, nice to See some ffx2 Challenge again. I think your the only one u can do whitemage only? Songstress only (probably hardest and need mug first or berserk etc) or for variety but also hard af Trainer, Songstress and Festivalist only? 100%??? I struggled to create a Setup new Game with this Challenges.

Should have put Brother in the Mascot dressphere. Also PLEASE do the entirety of the cups. Even better if you use the NG+ NPC characters (especially Leblanc, Ormi, and Logos)

Short answer: with zero issue what so ever. Long answer: you literally get the most broken NPC long before chapter 5, who is in the top 3 strongest NPCs in the game, and it's the gun dude in leblanc's group. This run is not only doable, everyone on the planet who has PLAYED the international version, or the PS4 version has done this. Your rules literally mean, and do nothing, as TWO of the named NPCs are gun users. You can even get the stuff to boost NPCs on chapter ONE, as soon as you unlock the arena.

wait how do you get access to be able to control your creatures. when I use captured creatures playing this game they attack on their own.

How are you choosing their attacks? Granted I have never experimented with the human creatures, I just assumed they'd be randomized like the other creatures

Did you use a mod to control the actions NPC’s do? Normally, NPC’s just fight in game with no choice.

This game really feels like 7 good, but incomplete games smashed into one incoherent but loveable mess.

yeeaah... the video was fun, but i would not have counted the chocobo or cactuar as npcs which wouldve meant the arena wouldnt have worked to begin with since it wouldve meant to use a chocobo. even the goons are already borderline in my opinion since theyre much more lackeys closer to enemy-monsters than actual npcs, but still acceptable.

Butz and Boko would definitely consider chocobos as NPCs
