12:44 it is true that you cannot harm them in ball form with the Pod and the programs, I was doing the challenge before this video was released and I felt like this really was the end of the run.. then I remembered that you can legit throw yourself with the pod with Jump + Pod fire, it does damage enemies and can hurt the boss including the other ball boss that comes 20 minutes later. You can decide if this counts as a pod attack or not but I consider it as a last resort and still count as it’s not using the light or heavy attack buttons and the pod is involved.

A2 has a "Rage mode" where she does insane damage but also constantly self damages. There's 3 pods and if you switch to a diffrent one you can use a diffrent pod programs while the other one recharges allowing you to spam pod programs. And you can lock on with the pod so you don't have to aim

What an absolute G. Having only pod to win the game. Not being bothered to level it up and still finish it.

Using the laser pod after it's been upgraded it has this bonus move that fires these balls that bounce around and clear rooms. It doesn't have the range of the Gatling pod but the laser goes through enemies and damages throughout the beam so the enemies with the moving orbs are way easier.

To anyone watching this. You can set 9S to be "Aggressive" ( Just change it back before entering the amusement park ). There's also a second Pod ( another later in the game by fishing ( these will augment your Programs ))) the Desert you can get as soon as you go there. You can do damage to the Sphere enemies with the Jump+Pod fire combo.

this is how i played through half the game because i was too scared to get close to enemies bc they dealt so much damage lmao literally like 20 min fights just shooting and running till i stopped playing halfway through from boredom

Hm also hm why didnt you pick the pod in the Coast Area ? There is a fishing spot where you get the 3rd pod. And pod do Waaaaay more damage when they are 3. And they have their special replaced/buffed^^

hey Tye, idk if it’d be best to comment on your most recent or this because of the style of game but i think you could do some really cool videos on the Deus Ex games i.e no upgrades/nonlethal/stun gun only, not sure if you’ve ever played them but they’re some of my favourite games and i think give off a similar vibe to NieR Automata, love the vids man keep up the great work.

An unarmed run would actually be fairly easy, minus the enemies who are hard to hit with melee in general. I went with it for my first playthrough, cause I like unarmed play styles. With smaller enemies, you send them flying all the time, and it's hilarious. I accidentally got the first ending with 2B having nothing, and the entire time as 9S, she'd send the enemies flying around half the time lol

Ive yet to play nier automata. Plan to do it now. The game looks better than i thought. I got to try it once.

Yeah, the gun damage is bad, but I played through the entire beginning without using the pod (mostly because I forgot and it was awkward to keep holding the button down) and when I played through it again constantly firing, the difference in kill speed was very noticeable. Now I just wish the shooting didn't constantly make noise, since it's not optimal to ever stop...

Wouldnt count the cannon as a fail. Pod only is a ranged run basically. And the forced cannon is technically a ranged attack. So imo it doesnt count as a fail
