In the last email on the last paragraph, is it correct to use "..would like to meet with you."? Should it be "meet you"?

Is it common to introduce yourself at the beginning of an email? In this example My name is Marco Conti. I tell my students to avoid doing that.

I just found out your channel...I am so grateful for such interesting videos. However, I am confused regarding the second email, As far as I am aware the world "information" is always used as singular whether the meaning is plural or singular...could you please advise me ?

Hi Hondalover3000! No worries. Oh, I see what you mean, but it's actually correct - were as in the past tense of be: We are currently looking for a reliable partner in Austria, and were very impressed when we learned about your company during our research. (We are currently looking ... and were impressed when we learned about ...)
