That is very impressive and on only one charge? The music was the perfect accompaniment for the video.

Actually this whole operation only took one bar out of four on the battery, I could have taken 3 more down on the same charge. This drill keeps impressing me. Thanks for watching and following along.

@@JesperMakes Thanks for asking my friend. Actually I am off my feet because I had a little accident (did I tell you about this already?) and twisted my knee quite badly. I've been wearing a splint to immobilize my leg and let the torn ligament heal. Another week and I can take it off and start physiotherapy. Until then I must sit very still and stay very bored. Oh well...

Your idea and your skill and your bravery were the raw ingredients for this video. The music was the thread that brought it all so closely together. I felt the huge sense of loss for this fallen soldier yet also elation that it was your arms that it was falling into.

I just got the 18v version of the tool. Gotta say, I have some 40v envy. However, I also realized that the 40v’s can’t be taken on an airplane (no problem for most, but a problem for me) because most airlines draw the line at 160 max watt hours. So I guess I’ll be sticking to the 18v platform, and swiping sales in the US to bring back to EU (why the US deals have to be so much better, I don’t know).
@JesperMakes
@JesperMakes Жыл бұрын
I have never tried the 18v tools from Makita, but I now have a few of them in the 40v range, and they just never run out of muscle and power. So happy about them. I'm never flying with my tools, so I'm not to worry about that.

Hi Juliet, I'm fine, really :-). This was a little dumb experiment, and the video came out being more serious than what really went on, I have no plans for felling more trees with drills, hehe. With that said, it was remarkable easy, the auger is brilliant at removing material fast, and the drill is such a workhorse. I can't believe it only took one bar on the battery to cut down the tree. How are you, and what are you up to?

@@JesperMakes I am fine thank you. I am still waiting for lumber prices to go down where I am! I have very little scrap and in this country, there is no such thing as free pallets...it's very frustrating! See you soon?
@JesperMakes
@JesperMakes 2 жыл бұрын
@@julietphillips1991 I can understand I'm very fortunate to have access to both pallets and logs, so I very rarely visit the lumber store, after I got the sawmill almost never anymore, as I mill up whatever I need. while I wait for lumber to dry I have these dead trees to play around with, they are very dry. Do you do woodworking as a hobby or professional?

@@JesperMakes I started out of necessity making stuff I needed. I have always been a "fixer" around the house and I love tools! It didn't take me long to realize I love woodworking...and I joke and say that I must have been a carpenter in a past life! Off and on I make items that I think might interest buyers and my son puts them on Facebook for me...but these buyers love to beat down the price to the point where I have decided I will stick to making for my needs only. Where you are looks like paradise to me!
