Daily driver ? YES YES YES I daily my 90 Puma 2011 have done for last 5 years and racked up 80k miles Love it !

I would love a Defender, but just can't justify the running cost for something I don't have the time to take off road as much as I would want to. Scout looks amazing, and thanks for answering the questions 🙂

Hey fellow 110 TD5 owner here, i daily my rig in Australia. Lots of urban work. One thing to mention is the height with roof rack and roof top tent renders the vehicle difficult to fit into most urban underground car parks.

yes I used a 110 and 3 different 110 and 130 defenders and Range Rover classic as daily drivers from ‘93 to 2019. Miss them.

I've already fitted the ORE rear step and I'm very happy with it. The existing folding rear step is held in place by a couple of rivnuts. You will have to rill these out or use a couple of washers as spacers for the bolts under the cross member. I also removed the rear towing kit as it acted as a plough most of the time. If I need to tow, I can always bolt it back on.

Ive used my 2002 TD5 as a daily drive since i bought it back in 2006.... wouldn't want to drive anything else 👍🏻

Thx Scout for another very informative video Regards fuel economy (I'm not heavy footed) ... My previous Defender 90 300tdi 26-28mpg My current Defender 2.2 Puma 110 XS (from new 2012): 26-28mpg (mixed driving/60mpg on motorways). 22-24mpg (Front Runner slimline roof rack). Recently fitted adjustable air suspension, Empire Tuning stage 2 re-map (with intercooler 180bhp/485Nm), replaced standard 235/80r16 wheels/tyres for 285/60r18 ... 26-28mpg (roof rack). 30-32mpg (no roof rack/car on lowest air setting … about a 2 inch drop on standard). The 110 definitely responds well to an engine tune and being lower to the ground!

Same model but no roof rack. Best mileage 30mpg worst 27mpg. No remap.

Pah 70k isn't that high. I brought my first defender on 250k. Although I have to be honest, it has had a complete engine refirb a few years before I purchased it and I have done a gearbox and drive train refirb and had a new transfer box. Unfortunately the old girl is still on her original untreated chassis so that may need to be sorted soon.
