That's called anthropomorphism. You are seeing what you want to see, also known as projecting. Cats don't have "love" or "gratitude". They have _association._ They associate certain behaviour with responses they desire.

I have an 8 year old neutered male that has " raised" all 4 of the youngers" & they all remember he is their protector & want to be right next to him . The bed is getting smaller as the youngest kittens are now 1 year old!😄

Both breed and upbringing can have a huge impact on cat behavior. Siamese cats, for example, tend to be very vocal (and repetitive), while British Shorthairs tend to be a little extra respectful and gentle when given adequate socialization. But just like with dogs, depending on how socialized they are and how they see you, they will behave differently. Also much like dogs, they tend to be extra fond of rescuers, I think that goes for any intelligent animal.

I have a rescued tabby that looks so much like this kitten it’s insane, it’s why I watched the video. She’s also super sweet and affectionate, when we found her she had cat flu and her eyes were almost crusted over, her nose was blocked and she was left outside to fend for herself somehow in that state at around 4 weeks old, she would have surely died if nobody found her, so we took her to the vet and got her some medication, nursed her back to health and she does similar things, sleeps pressed up against you or on your lap, looks at you with that loving expression, such a sweet kitty 🥹

@@tnkelly01 I rescue animals and even some of the wildlife such as raccoons has the same kind of love and gratitued .. Animals love in a way that ppl have hard a hard time loving each other .. They may kill but that's just to feed themselves and mostly to take care of their young .. It would be so amazing if that kitty could see a vet soon and get the care that he needs, It's obvious it's in pain but thank God for the man taking it in at least and giving it food love and shelter, as the people in so many Asian countries, such as China, look a animas as something that they can make money off of, or for food and the worse thing is they have the dog/cat Wuhan Festivle each year where they steal pets from everywhere they can and have a big "celibration" turturing them to their death for five days for the meat trade for their own sick, reasons such as they think it gives men more testestrian, the worst and hardest torture that they give to these poor innocent animals! .. The way different cultures think that animals are disposbale in this day and age is the biggest thing that I'd change if I could .. Thank God for the people that love, rescue and care for them after them someone has abused them so badly!! 💔💔

Mine is like that. It's not only his breed and gender, Maine Coon, it's because I rescued him from a life of neglect and harsh treatment. He needed medicine for hyperthyroidism, which I give him twice a day. I take very good care of him and he gets separation anxiety if I'm gone too long. He follows me everywhere. This reminds me of how my dog passed 11 years ago and I’ve never been the same since. Once we became pet owners, I think we’re meant to have another pet before the one we have goes, because continuing life without any pet once ours pass on is such a painful hole to leave in the heart

If you are in a position to do so, then you simply _must_ give a loving home once more to another kitty. This will alleviate your sense of loss, and make your 'original' cat VERY happy: believe me! Where real Love is concerned, NOTHING is ever really 'lost' - despite _temporary_ appearances. Trust me ;-)

На такие жесты и эмоции, преданную любовь способны в основном самые обычные котики, особенно спасенные.. Ничего плохого не хочу сказать о породистых, но только много у них правил, под которые они строят всех домочадцев и еще обижаются реально, если где-то не угодили. Любить котеек очень приятно для души , но когда твоей любовью манипулируют как-то не по себе...

У молодого человека тоже слезы текли из глаз...
