Make sure you have the M220 axles if you have the M210 you’ll be running into front Differential breakage.. M220 comes with 4.46 or 4.70 gear ratio
@samfloresg

Question. I have a 2.3 L Manual transmission 2 door Non sasquach.This has the 4.46 gears and came with 32'' tires. Would it be safe to upgrade to 35' tires without upgrading to 4.70 gears or is this not recommended.
@gldmembr6132
@gldmembr6132 Жыл бұрын
@@samfloresg safe yes but hard on MPG’s and transmission. I have 33’s and I have to be running 80mph on the highway so that 6th gear doesn’t bog. If your wanting to go bigger invest in the 4.70 front differential, you will also need the 32 spline half shafts, 4.70 rear axle, Ford calibration to flash the ecu with the new gears. You’ll be in it for about $5g’s. Lethal Performance sells a whole package to do this at a discount price. Also Spicer is releasing kits this spring and summer as well.

Before you added the SAS Shocks, did you notice any rubbing with the larger tiers?

Good question. No I did not. I had to remove my crash bars for the install. I made a video about putting thr 35s on before the shocks kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mZl7ZrB127XFfn0.html

Hey, Schwayz great video! I’m about to do this to my black diamond and was wondering If you were able to put the crash bars back on after the suspension install? I’d prefer to keep my crash bars on, in case of a crash. Lol
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ Жыл бұрын
@@collinknox6005 so you can reinstall but there's a chance it will rub the tire at full lock. So if you plan on offroading it's probably best to keep them off. The sasquatch bronco doesn't come with crash bars from the factory
@talldude7741
@talldude7741 Жыл бұрын
You could purchase some high clearance crash bars that allow you to run larger tires and still maintain crash protection.

So here's a question: I have a 2024 Big Bend 4 door non- sasquatch and I just purchased take-off Bilsteins from a 2023 Badlands 4 door non-sasquatch. Are these the same shocks that you just installed or are they different?? Because they look the same. If they are the same, can I expect similar results of a 1" lift?
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ 24 күн бұрын
I believe the badlands came with the same sasquatch suspension (bilsteins) regardless of whether they were sasquatch or not. You should be able to just have them installed like I did and that would add about 1"-2" lift

The spring rates are different but not by much. 2.7 suspension on a 2.3 is just slightly stiffer, but not much.

Hi, did you know if the Bracket - Shock Absorber of a non sasquatch are compatible with sasquatch shock absorber ?
@donaustin5411

Is it only shocks adding height or does the big bend sasquash come with a 1 1/2 inch lift with sasquash package?
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ Жыл бұрын
So the tires and shocks add the height. So if you just add shocks it will add a little height and if you add the tires it will add some more. The heigh of my car now is the same as a sasquatch big bend bronco. Hopefully that answers your question

So the stock UCAs and everything else work with the SAS shocks ? I have a non-SAS OBX with an ICON 3” lift and 37s and would love to install these shocks and get a little more height.

Thank you for doing this. I just installed Badlands 33" takeoffs on my non-SAS OBX. I want just another inch of lift, so this looks perfect. My main concern is the street/highway ride. Can you confirm that the street ride with the SAS Bilstein take-offs is smoother than the stock Hitachi shocks?
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ Жыл бұрын
Good question. Honestly I'm not really able to tell a big difference between the 2. I initially thought it would ride a lot softer but after actually doing the swap it was hard to tell. It still rides nice but I can't say it's noticeably better. It does feel a little more top heavy because of the extra few inches on the suspension and the larger wheels and tires I have. Nothing too bad but a little worse than before the wheel and tire swap
@r8_livin924
@r8_livin924 Жыл бұрын
@@SchwayZ I'm considering doing this swap strictly for on road driving comfort vs. the stock suspension. Do you feel its worth it for a better on street ride (if no off roading)? Love the videos thanks!
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ Жыл бұрын
@R8_Livin honestly I didn't notice much of a difference in ride quality with the bilsteins. I thought it would go over speed bumps and dips a lot better but its almost no difference in my personal experience. It may be just a tad bit softer but it's not very noticeable which surprised me. So if you're upgrading just for ride quality I don't think it's worth it

does this throw off the alignment? I've always wondered..
@SchwayZ
@SchwayZ 2 жыл бұрын
So it's recommended that I get an alignment because the suspension angles have changed. It still drives straight down the road but I plan to get an alignment to avoid any unnecessary wear on the tires.
