Loved the insights as always. But it would be great if we get to see how a number of individual jobs will be impacted. What's gonna happen to people like carpenters, bus drivers and gym trainers. What about policemen? Perhaps a second video covering individual jobs?

Hello! There still isn't as much research done on individual job roles, other than the reports quoted here. This is because the true impact on several individual jobs aren't known yet. If there's more demand on this in due course, I will look into more reports and consider working on this topic. In terms of some specific roles you outlined, one can speculate the following: Carpenters: Could be augmented with advancements in 3D printing to begin with Bus drivers: Huge debate with self-driving cars coming up Gym trainer: Already getting impacted by the growing popularity of AI personal trainer apps, etc. High automation potential Policemen: Difficult to automate in the near future, as Robocop is still far off!

First comment! Well, I am skeptical about AI. People always take technology lightly at the start, and then see technology change the whole society! Just like how people are laughing about self-driving cars now. Chat GPT and gen AI might be imperfect now, but it's getting better and there's huge investment backing it. Companies will no doubt try and save money and get rid of people. Looking at the research presented here, I think we could also see people migrating from West to East in some time. The East has fast paced economies, but modernization will take a lot of time here. People might think of migrating to the east to keep their professions. But well, we have too many people in India anyway! Scary times!

Hello! The argument about people potentially migrating Eastwards is a valid one that needs debating. This could be people wanting to face less disruptions caused by AI. But the East will eventually catch up too. I haven't come across any research specifically on this topic yet! Curious to see what other viewers think about this point.
