It's not exactly a conflict of interest. it depends on how a person looks at money. They may not be putting out their product to make a profit. Some producers charge fees to make sure people are serious about using the product. Attaching a fee cuts down tremendously on negative reviews and ensures that the consumers of their product are serious about it.

True enough. I've seen people in a certain copy trading / signal providing Whatsapp group freak out over a huge loss following the group owner trades. And then they go saying like market is trash dont trade but myself still have an open profit position at the time. Copying was a bad idea, even if you use the signals as reference it will one day shift your deceision making to instead of trusting your own, you trust theirs.

Seems like you dont like copytrading. Out of 3 points only 3rd point is valid that people will lose money because of panic in drawdown. Conflict of interest was just made up as you didnt find any valid point. If a trader is having 10k followers that only means he is doing well. As well if his avg profit is double than avg loss, your stop loss theory doesnt make sense. Also avg holding time can confirm who is taking small profits and who is holding for big profits. Your hypothetical trader who makes money and have smooth equity curve line by taking 5 pip tp and 5pp pip sl, will in reality never make money and hence never have smooth equity line. Just dont make people fool that it is easy to have smooth equity curve. You are a great influencer. If you are reviewing as a follower people expect you to be unbiased.

I just started copy trading , it’s been great so far . Just because You don’t like , and obviously you don’t need it DOES NOT mean it’s not profitable for others…. Lots of people are making good income from copy trading. But to make decent income, at least $5000 needs to be invested

Multiple sources of income is definitely the way to go. I work full-time in the IT field, have a few rental properties and am now dabbling in FOREX.

Cant say i would agree. If i dont.have time to trade or make apropriafe research, copy trading is great option. I better trust my money to someone who is 24/7 in trading and with apropriate background, i feel comfortable to trust this person. Of course if you have time to trade and you cant find anyone to who you trust...copy trading is not for you

In regards to what you said about 5 pip TP and 500 SL, having a smooth equity curve would really depend on market volatility. If its extremely volatile, a 500 SL could really blow up more often than you think. Plus, even if SL is not triggered , the social trading platform should still display your equity curve(even historical equity) on a daily basis, meaning if your trades are down 200 pips, it would still have a bad drawdown. Drawdown should also be based on equity and not balance IMO

There are several statistics that can help a subscriber or a trader before copying a system to evaluate reliability. The best copy trading platform to go is to where the provider provides clients transparency on the critical statistics of any system. With due diligence of research - anyone can find a legit copy trading platform, rather than listening to providers' marketing ads like "how someone made $XXXX in ___ days by copy trading in _______.com", etc...

After watching your video and doing some research I invested About 10k across 5 different accounts. Made a video showing results. I'm not a blogger or v.logger I just made it cause with your video Rayner I didn't find enough clear reason or results. You would think if following 5 accounts at least one would be successful, I struck out. Maybe because the stoplosses or not using them but anyway, I shared more details/depth. I moved the remaining funds back to Australia and will put it back on the aussie stock market. Or maybe trade some options if I want to go for quicker wins. You could make a living with option trading with more comfort than copycat trading in my opinion.

Yep, most of them are doing DCA just to have a good win rate and can just play either long or short. Better to check the trade history to see if they are setting a proper stop loss and if they can make profits regardless of the trend.

Well... I listen to your video... and I guess you have a point if you are following someone who's selling a signal service. However... I was looking at copy trading software for better managements of my own accounts. You see, I have different brokerage accounts. And my wife also have an account, and she doesn't have the luxury of trading like I do because of our work schedules. Copy Trading software allows me to link all of my trading accounts together with hers, and copy the trades I do in my main account to my other accounts, as well as my wife.

If people don’t make money on copy trading then how are they going to be able to pay to the influencer if they running out of money and also knowing it don’t work. Therefore people will leave the platform and the influencer loses followers by default.

I suggest cTrader. It has a much better user interface than Metatrader 4 and 5. It is also good for developing bots and indicators because it uses c#, while in MT4 or MT5 you have to learn their own language and the developing tools are crap.

I disagree with you. Most ot you traders always have a problem with Signals and copy trading it's as if you think everyone can be a trader ! The truth is that not everyone has the passion and time to learn trading amd master it . Some people just want to copy trade or copy someone's signals that's all and we need to be okay with that. Not everyone can be a master trader , someone are okay with just copy trading ...some people don't trade but they do the IB partnership program and they are good at it...

I disagree. I know of an international (but US-originated) trading academy where we pay only $100 for a single month and there are 5-6 proessional traders that trade in a single day. Totally nothign to do with conflict of interst, LOL

A "victim" of ''that''? I would be interested to hear your decision-making process in your copytrading. I suspect you made some uninformed, hasty decisions in who to copytrade and/or failed adequately to assess risk/formulate a decent strategy. Copytrading is, like any aspect of investing something where some will win and some will lose. There are ways to increase your chances of being the former and not the latter.

That is not necessary true.Most copy trafes that I know will allow you to see past results. Lot size, profit factor, stop loss, draw down etc. You choose who to follow or not.

Important is to check the trader has invested a decent amount of his own money which means he believes in it himself. Some traders invest thousands and others only a few hundred
