The record is technichally owned by Oscar Schmidt, who never played in the NBA. Drafted by New Jersey in 84, he's a Brazilian Olympic legend, he played for nearly 20 years overseas, mostly in Italy and Spain, scoring close to 50,000 points in all competitions. Daniels was a 3x ABA champion, he signed with New Jersey in 1976 after the ABA and the NBA merged. Petrovic was also mostly an international player for most of his career, got to the NBA in 1989.

You could make it so everyone on the team refuses to shoot but pass to your guy, so he averages insanely more points. Probably wouldn’t make it still, but that way you’d break scoring records and such. Edit: I should have waited until the end, but you could have gone further and edit every players tendencies.
