I think your tracking of individual damage using using the colour dots is quite clever. I personally would actually paint the monsters using red, blue, or green as the primary colour. Leaving the base unpainted to distinguish minion/master ranking. I have also heard of some miniatures gamers using small coloured elastic bands to track conditions. I just started running Descent 2.0, and have changed a few of the more illogical rules. Line of sight, in particular.

+ExBruinsFan Hey there ExBruinsFan! :) It's nice to hear from you, and happy holidays to you and your family. Yeah, the line of sight rules for Descent are a little questionable. I do like them, but questions do arise from certain situations. And thank you for your kind words about how to track damage. As you may know, my game is launching soon, "Dungeon Crusade." All of the monsters in the game are color coded, so it's super easy to track damage. I hope you have a great weekend, and I will be back for a even more perfected & honed solo experience for Descent 2.0. Same concept, but just more evolved. If you like, heads over to the HQ for Dungeon Crusade and take a look how far the game as come along....WARNING!!!! Dungeon Crusade is massive! I hope you like it.... facebook.com/dungeoncrusade

Very similar to mice and mystics or four against darkness, where you also run the monster AI. Runebound the same

opening the door to allow the Shadow Dragon isn't a good tactic (sorry, I know you play different; not trying to be a jerk). Wouldn't it be more strategic to make a hero waste a movement by having he/she open the door? And if it is the heroes 2nd move, that hero may not even want to open the door due to circumstances, such as being the only hero close by and having to take two attacks from a non-mobile master Dragon. Changes the game when you play well for both sides.
