Yeah, it's pronounced "indiosincrásia" but without tilde because its accent is "grave" and it has a vocal at the end so no tilde is needed.

I don't know about Latin America, but it's an extremely common error here in Spain, to the point that I've even heard doctors say "transtorno". It's easier to pronounce trans- than tras- because we're more used to trans-

sandpitturtle But it's not always easy to hear the distinction between trans and tras, especially followed by a "t". Trastorno appears to be primarily a medical term and may have been unfamiliar to the participants.

Its not the same. This is the Spanish word for it. The suffix in English is "phobia" while the suffix in it for Spanish is "fobia." Also there are two p's in the English word for the fear. Plus y'all did pronounce it in a Spanish right? Lol but Wizards of Waverly Place is fire either way

Parangaricutirimícuaro es una palabra aparentemente inventada para un trabalenguas, probablemente derivada del nombre del pueblo San Juan Parangaricutiro y la terminación -cuaro, en el idioma tarasco, que varios lugares de la región tienen en su nombre... No creo que la Real Academia de la Lengua Española reconozca esa palabra... :)

The last word is just the name of phobia, that's the same in every language, so really only four of the words are in Spanish.

Every word has it's own origin... Chocolate is both the same word in english and in spanish (just with different pronunciation). Spanish comes from Spain. Spain had some greek colonies like Ampurias and Rode. They are just practicing how these words are said in Spanish. Hope my explanation helps :D

Most of those words my mom taught me how to pronounce those words, she was a doctor and we played a game of saying dificult words like otorringolaringologo or parangaricutirimicuaro when I was like 6 because my whole life I have live whit struggles at the time of talking, my brother and my parents suffer the same

Looking at the word, you should be able to sound out any of the words. However if they're just said to you, I understand why it'd be hard to pronounce them. Especially if they're saying them at a normal speed. I remember when my aunt was teaching me Parangaricutirimicuaro, she had to literally break it down to every syllable.

Thats a good video! They should do one where they have to pronounce hard places in hispanic countries! Such as places as simple as Cuenca, Siquatepeque and Callao to places like Nezhualcóyotl, Chichicastenango, and Azpilicuetagaraycosaroyarenberecolarrea.

Parangaragutirimícuaro is not a Spanish word. That is from an indigenous language of Mexico. That one should not have been included.

the only guy I take seriously is the one with the goatee glasses and short hair... the rest of them are like the majority of US latinos they can BARELY speak SPANGLISH but they think they can speak soooooo good and they are soooooo latino cause they took spanish classes in middle school and they call her gradma abuelita... such a shame...

The last word is very real, and, ironically, it means "fear of long words". I had to sit and read it a few times to learn it but it's actually a cool word lol.
