For anyone wondering why they took them away it was because the new feature to switch between your wallpapers in the lock screen involves you to hold on the screen, which is the exact same way to activate a live wallpaper, and they had to choose between the two

apple fucked up with this.. i like the idea of being able to change wallpapers but i’d SIGNIFICANTLY prefer live wallpapers… make it like a 5+ second hold to change wall papers and normal 3d touch for live as it’s been since 3d touch came out… REALLY hope they fix this..

This is why I haven't used apple products for a decade now. They kept removing features I really love and to me, their products are the fisher price version of technology. On my S23 Ultra, I was able to set a video wallpaper (THAT PLAYS AUTOMATICALLY) on my lock screen that's 4K60 ultra HDR. Not only that, but the vast amount of customization and freedom I have to use an Android device the way I want completely destroys any reasons to spend a premium on Apple products.

@@UON Basically you have a massive bias as you lose profit due to apple removing a feature. Iphones aren’t bad devices for people who just want a phone that can last them 3+ years.

I used to think like that, but the level of disorganisation on android pisses me off. Settings menus are buried in a convoluted way, there's very little consistency, etc... feels like choosing the lesser of two crappy options at this point.

Can we still use the nice nature photos that shifted when night mode turned on? That was also an Apple feature I loved and used on my XR till today I updated to iOS16.3 and I’m pissed their gone.
