My son and I have been trying to snipe the battle bus from the spawn island, you can see it in the air before the round starts, we wonder if you can kill someone before they even jump... You seem like someone that may be able to figure that out...

It also might be that when teleporting you have a few frames of invulnerability before you actually start to free fall

You can snipe yourself if you remember in chapter 1 when you shoot the cube the bullets would bounce back and damage you

You could do this in creative and place the rift exit wherever you want(even in a straight horizontal line). It would probably be easier.

Wasn't a hit but if u shot straight up while crouching underneath the rift then u un crouched telaporting u up that could work Like so that Ben will see this and try it

the best way to test if u can snipe urself is to go to creative, place two teleporters and shoot at the other teleporter while entering the other.

someone else stated its probably due to friendly fire being disabled (there are 100 selectable teams, meaning even Solo is a team battle and yourself is counted as part of the team) but AoE damage such as Dynamite can still damage you so i suspect cutscenes like using rifts have s to prevent visual errors, or each attack has a list of whom it can damage and explosives make you a part of it

I think when you go in a rift it gives protection for a second

My friend did this back in chapter 1 and it actually did damage to him but them they move the rift spawns lower and because of this you have that 1 sec of invincibility but if it was higher you could damage yourself and if they did not fix it in chapter 2

Only way I can think of why it didn't hit was. Well firstly I don't think Epic/fortnite never thought someone would try this. Second I believe knowing that they just didn't know they didn't add a hit box when transferring through portals. My only guess.
