Really, I'm not sure how I can easily prove to you that I played Final Fantasy 14 solo without using the marketboard or roulettes or parties or retainers outside of uploading the 100 hours of ff14 footage I have, but I'm pretty sure I'm the only one insane enough to care anyway. I mean I showed almost every ff14 craft and gather I did.
Can you play FFXIV solo? Singleplayer FFXIV even? I don't even know what to call this. I mean it's definitely not ff14 money making. I might be an Ultimate Legend UWU rdm pov, but I'm not sure how that's relevant. Maybe this is a FFXIV solo guide? Final Fantasy 14 Warrior solo? Maybe one day I'll do a Eureka Orthos solo run like a normal person.

Rath Games: So after grabbing two pieces of Ironworks Gear- Me: Technically counts as a NPC Purchase with a different currency. :P Am I being specific/particular? Yes. Does it mean anything? Probably not. At least not other than a bit of good-natured heckling. I'm pretty sure I'd have neither the fortitude nor the drive to stick with soloing thorugh a MMO with such stringent rules anyway. x)

You can do open world quests as a Blue Mage... might be a better leveling experience (and faster) than anything else you can find in ARR

@@genericworm2346I believe you can use BLU to fulfill the primal part of the relic, since you don't need to have the relic equipped to progress, just the unique drop for completing the trial with the quest active.

I was about to say "what do you mean? I solo'd all the primals" but then I remembered I didn't have any restrictions like level sync or no echo. I just ticked unrestricted party and that was it.

Last I heard, It's gonna be Solo using plot armor and summonning his other sundered selves form the other reflections. (a.k.a Playing with a few other players that he has personally verified have ALSO gotten to CT completely solo, but they're all tanks and can't interact with each other, just hit the bosses. and when there are adds they have to attack separate targets.)

@@GrimnoireIf either of you arent at 80 yet, and have SHB areas unlocked, you can solo power level in The Tempest pretty easily. One mob type will instakill another mob type that comes near, so you can abuse that for quick solo levelling.

Half of my first sub was spent dedicated to beating this mf on a lvl 60 RDM before I was forced to experience the MMO part of this game. I thought about doing it on BLU, but trying to get the spells solo killed that idea quickly. I had played the game for just a month at that point. I'm actually impressed I even made it to the King himself on a DPS because getting past Pom Meteor was impossible. You're my hero for doing this UNSYNCED

Hey rath! Loving this series. A friend and I are doing a "duo" ironman run, group ironman if you will i suppose lol. Obviously much easier on than what you're doing. I'm curious what your plans are for any content that *requires* more than 1 person? Like things that you either literally can't start solo, or like crystal tower needing 5 people in each section or whatever. Are you going to just stretch a bit to get any sort of required content that requires more poeple?

Honestly it’s really cool seeing these bosses in a more difficult light I picked up FFXIV about a year ago and found myself quite disappointed at how brainless majority of the fights felt until around Shadowbringer.

Really, a lot of it is due to the general gear level at each expansion. The earlier expansions, especially after stats were squished down, don't really swing high enough to deal with everyone having ilvl 130 gear in a dungeon/trial made for ilvl 60-90. Even with level sync, the extra substats or being at that cap is a huge difference. I never saw a lot of the mechanics myself either. It's a wonderful thing to get to learn each boss to intimately.

What is your plan for crystal tower? As far as I am aware, you cannot start an alliance raid instance without at least 3 players, one for each alliance. Not to mention the mechanics that hard require multiple people in order to progress.

The thing is, after I started my twink in a new server, I did the dame, but the server was boostet with double exp on everything so I was already 70 wen I meet ultima. And a warrior with a healer as passive skills the only one that give me trouble was gilgamesh number 3 (you can do cristal tower solo if you find 2 peaple temporarily that helps you join the dungeon and then leave.)

I dont know what your idea is for getting through CT is ,but I think It would be fair if you just have to be able to solo all the bosses in the Crystal tower. And rest of the stuff you can get help.

So, out of curiosity, if you find yourself in a position where you're just not able to get any headway no matter what, will you have to do the unspeakable crime that is Unrestricted party? You might end up needing the minor edge it offers, even if that edge is on the smaller side since you can't get access to the big number gear until you get into Not Vatican Land

Yeah, the level sync silence echo rule is specifically 'For as long as I can' meaning I will always attempt to clear with them first, but it's unrealistic go expect to clear everything without using epic echo at least a few times throughout the whole run

pretty sure BLU tail screw spell works on Hard bosses, it reduces their hp to 1-9 hp, meaning you just need one more hit, probably some other broken spells that works aswell

Nope, the class unlock quest is available from pretty much the very beginning. Right there in gridania :^)

It doesnt have a replacement. If I cant get something aside from getting it from a merchant Im allowed to purchase it. This is mostly used for cooking ingredients, but when we need maxed armor there's really no other option

I'm confused on one part. Why did you need to grind out a gunblade to unlock Gunbreaker? Wouldn't you get a free weapon by unlocking the job?

Quest rewards are against the rules for the challenge. I have to make them, get them from a dungeon, or if I cant do either of those as a last resort we can purchase them from an npc.
