I'm glad I got snack breaks all through Elementary School. I can't live without my snacks at 10:30AM. Once in third grade I started chewing my fingers because I had stayed in to help the teacher (on purpose) and didn't get a snack.

In Aus, 7th grade is the start of highschool ( well, it is in NSW). We also get recess from kindergarten to Year 12 / 12th grade

My middle school has recess where you can go and eat snacks in your team areas and you can play games, go to the library, like play outside. Some middle schools do, and some middle schools don't.

When I was in middle school, I remember we DID in fact have recess AND not only sixth and seventh and eighth grade having recess, we shared a school with highschoolers and the highschoolers had a recess too!! ✨

I actually have to go to year 6 twice since I just finished year 6 then I moved to a different place and because the education was more complex I actually have to do it again and where I lived in middle school (first time) I actually had recess after 2 classes
