In fact I gave my friend anxiety by using periods when talking to her via discord, because mainly people use them when they're made, but I use them for the sake of grammar.

But naming trends are a thing. It's not that your name changes as you age, its that people ten years ago weren't necessarily naming kids the same thing as people 20 years ago were. Which, probably wasn't her thought process, but it actually does make a certain amount of sense.

That kid is crazy smart- in high school, I took a class that required I visit a preschool and elementary school every other day to work with the kids. My elementary class was a bunch of 5th graders and after grading their papers, I promise his grammar would have blown them out of the water. He just seems very mature and logical for his age- I hope nobody picks on him for it :(

When it comes to 5th graders and their writing it depends on what they're currently learning, take my advice. My 5th-grade teachers went super hard on us and me and my friends would do the exact same righting as Gordon, his parents must have gotten him into an outstanding school.
