You cant compare the rent prices in vietnam to the ones in Canada/USA, the reason why things are so cheap is because people do not get paid that much so they have to make it affordable to what people make here. My 2 bedroom is $275 plus $110 on Utilities, I can make it for less than $600 USD a month. I shop at the Mega Mart or get street food

Good video, I am also working in a budget for Vietnam. Actually most of money is wasted in having fun… dates, dinner dates, drinking, “les balloons” and women… If u remove all the “nocturnal fun” activities you can definitely be in that range of 17-19 million VND… but then again you need some fun.

The cost of living in Vancouver is skyrocketing but you can choose to live at another city that is more affordable in Canada. You can get a job with high pay in Canada to pay for that. In Vietnam, I don't think you can find a high pay job.

Been here 11 years I eat with the locals never had food poisoning. So get over that nonsense. First of all there are plenty of mom n pop eateries with prices for the locals ($1.50 a meal). Once you get on your plane to come here, leave your country mentality at home. It's a different country, different culture, different food, different customs, different society, different people, but it's all good and like all things on life of it taste good, feels good, enjoy it and forget foreign phobias. Vietnam is a little more raw and direct than the Anglo western countries but more real. Avoid the tourist places

People shouldn’t compare the rental rate between countries. Vietnamese making $500 a month. Canadian making $200 a month in Canada.

Is it illegal to be a homelessness person in Vietnam? I want to go back to Vietnam and live a life of a hobo.
Ай бұрын
Homelessness is not a hobby here. It is real especially the old and mothers with children. It is an accepted factor of society. Many còn here and do the backpacker roaming thing but usually stay at cheap crash hostels

Hi! Thnx for the vid, very informative. How about health insurance - do you pay for one? (HMO or do you use travel insurance) I'm glad that your health is better. I'm curious - why Saigon? Are you employed by a company there or are you self-employed/ digital nomad? I was thinking that if you're self employed, you could choose another place where the air quality is better, e.g. Da Nang, Nha Trang or Da Lat. TIA. Cheers & take care!
