is there a specific principle of zero waste / eco-friendly living that’s helped you either save or break even? in what areas do you find yourself spending significantly more? thanks for watching + weighing in!

I love my reusable menstrual products! I know it's such a personal thing and they're not for everyone...but that change has saved me so much money!

Love how you talk about economical and geographical situations & the zero waste movement. All too often we think how easy it is to swap something out or stop using disposables, when that isn't the reality for everyone! My favorite motto of yours is 'progress not perfection', and this video rings true to those values. Thanks for offering helpful, useful, budget-friendly advice for those looking to reduce their impact - like me!

Lol, the straws made no sense to me for years! Why did everyone need straws? The only time I actually used straws was for smoothies..... which I rarely made. 😂

In 2018, Dr. Joseph Poore (University of Oxford) published the most extensive global food system analysis to date. His groundbreaking research exposed the inefficiency of the current food system, with meat and dairy providing just 18% of calories despite using 83% of farmland and producing 60% of agriculture’s greenhouse gas emissions. He found that a plant-based food system would reduce global farmland by more than 75%, which would free up vast areas of land for rewilding. Quote: “A vegan diet is probably the single biggest way to reduce your impact on planet Earth, not just greenhouse gases, but global acidification, eutrophication, land use and water use. It is far bigger than cutting down on your flights or buying an electric car.”

Thank you so much for your inspiring yet grounded content. You're incredible, and your approach to sustainability is so disarming to my eco- and perfectionism- anxiety. I am greatly appreciating all of your current content, but I was wondering if you would consider making a video on your hair, makeup, and skin routine? You're gorgeous and you look so healthy! It's so hard for me to find effective, eco-friendly hair care. Skincare is also pretty iffy. Any advice or recommendations you have would be really appreciated!

Plant-based food is THE most inexpensive food there is! You don't need meat, dairy & eggs substitutes to eat a healthy filling diet with a lot of variety in it. In some cases meat, dairy & eggs can seem cheaper because they are heavily subsidized by the governments (we talk about BILLIONS of $ every year!), while plant alternatives can have a higher taxation rate that raises the price (very unfair! - there are some petitions to lower the cost of plant milks in places like Starbucks for example). Humanity HAS TO make steps towards a more ETHICAL, ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY and HEALTHIER FUTURE for the sake of ALL living beings on this planet!
