Very true. Once you come to Canada , reality strikes you. Even in sep intake , getting part time job is becoming difficult. Apartment prices are sky rocketing. Course fees are getting high every year. PR chances god knows what it will be after two years. Overall its not a fairytale ! Its not a dream world. Think of the worst situation and its even worse here.. My suggestion would be dont expect anything. And most importantly dont get demotivated after listening to all these things. Its worth the fight because after 5-6 yrs Im sure u will be having PR , having a nice coupé , a brilliant job , a beautiful house. Keep up the hustle !

My father used to cut the ads from the newspaper in the 80s and apply for jobs . He taught me the value of the reading … and inculcated work ethic in me … now I realise why is that so important for me and priceless. I have migrated to Australia almost 10 years ago I have no masters degree no education from Australia migrated purely based on my work in India . So values are more important than anything else the rest follows.

Yes im done with my work permit of 1.5 not i have 1.5 years left I live in BC . He is right rules changes are uncertain , it changes really quick . Leaving india and to live this life makes me feel that the same amount of dedication we have done with in our country would have changed us as well as out country .

The accommodation part is true.... especially in Windsor..now unfurnished rooms are around 550-600$ for a single person... it's difficult for new students coming in or people who are already in Windsor and want to shift to a new house

For all the problems, the only conclusion and solution is that students should look out of these big and already crowded cities like Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, Surrey, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Ottawa n some more There are plenty of other good cities although they are small n not as developed as these big are, but it would be easy for , accommodation and low cost living . Part time normal jobs are always available there , just need to find them which can consume some time. You can always move to any other city after your studies so better is to complete your struggle days when studying in not so popular cities then move wherever you want Let me know if I am wrong anywhere.

Mine is Winter 2023 intake but I will be coming in late April as my first semester in commencing online and university have officially permitted to attend classes from my home country. As you said to leave Toronto, Brampton, that's why I selected University of Regina, Saskatchewan. I have worked in IT industry for 2.5+ years and now will be pursuing my career in the field of Human Centered Computing.
