Honestly Sweden just played a great well rounded game, they let Canada try their stretch passes and created turnovers. Too many passes from Canada and not enough shots with screens jamming in rebounds. Both of Swedens goals were screens and deflections leading to goals. Sweden played too tight defensively for Canada to score off the rush

The Juniors have become some of the most exciting games in hockey. The level of play is outstanding. This year, Canada is not as strong as prior, which creates uncertainty, which makes for great tourney. I cannot recall a Sweden team stronger than this one. At this level, games are won by mistakes. Both teams made mistakes, but Canada could not score. Could be lack of talent, or simply nerves. Overall, Canada should have had a different game strategy. Trying to rush and out-skate the Swedes will not succeed. No screen shots on goal will not win games; the goalies are simply too good to be beaten directly. Sweden outplayed Canada and won deservedly.
@77dris4 ай бұрын
The Juniors have been the most exciting hockey for the past 20-30 years at least. FAR better than the NHL. Though they lack the intensity of the Junior tournaments from 20-30 years ago where physicality made it much more exciting (same applies to most levels of hockey now where it's mostly just finesse which makes it one dimensional and kind of boring).

@@77dris True. The lack of "physical" in the game today is clearly noticeable. The rules ensure this. But also, the players and NHL teams may not wish to risk injuries.
