This happened to me at a grocery store, recently... I was paying for one item and asked a simple question, which then set off a whole team of people searching the entire store for 10 minutes, before I could pay and leave. All I asked was "Do you have any more of these cookies?" and told them that I didn't want more, I was just curious if they had more (because I had found them in a random location and didn't see where they 'should' be). BIG MISTAKE, LOL.

As Im watching this I was thinking "why is this funny? This is reality , this is everyday life, this is how it is every time I deal with any business" Then I remembered ... things weren't always the way they are now. Customer service used to be great ,with employees who knew what they were doing and how to take care of you. And thats what I thought was funny.

That's because they tried to confuse the victimes and in the process, the spectator ^^ Our brain need to make sens of everything and to some people, it can be inconfortable up to uncanny. You describing it as "a little off" meant that you did hit the uncanny.
