I am an intermediate skiier and I'd love to know you can be back seating while maintaining proper cog? Like leaning backwards with most weight on the front of the feet?

@@leftde18 So Candide is described in the first comment as 'backseating' as his upper body is relatively backwards in relation to his feet, but the legs (and to an extent the arms) contribute to his COG still being forward enough?

@@Kti432 Exactly! In fact, Candide doesn't ski "in the front seat" that often. He often has a more centered stance and approach but I think that comes from his absolute mastery of the sport. You could try experimenting with a more centered balance too, but you will always be held back if you don't figure out the front seat thing as well. Expert skiers constantly adjust their balance and COG fore and aft -- both freeskiers and racers.

Its cgi it was actualy filmed on snow is basicaly like green screen on movies but white. Thats why he dosnt wear anything white. Only some of the clips are real.

+SiouxDonyms Seriously? Many on here really think this is real? Wow, I guess that tells us how far graphics have come. I certainly don't have time to sit and read through 500 comments, but apparently not many people commenting have actually experienced the ski surfaces in the commercial like I have. So don't come on here and claim you have "first-hand knowledge" of something you know nothing about. It's a commercial, people. Commercials are made to make the impossible appear real. For those of you a little short on common sense, lemme help you out with a little experiment. It's obvious in the crop field scene, with the jump and the backflip, the slope is at most around 10 degrees. Meaning the ground level is dropping more than 6ft for every dozen ski lengths. Download a free inclinometer app onto your phone, then throw your skis in the car and find yourself a 10 degree slope of leaves, meadowland, rock scree, mature wheat, blacktop....whatever. Hell, make it a 15 degree slope for good measure. Now put your skis on. Try to make 'em slide. Yeah. Some people need to have everything proven to them. Even the laws of physics. Others simply think things through. In other news...What an awesome commercial concept Audi!

+SiouxDonyms Well, whaddaya know. Audi singlehandedly exposes the ski industry's best kept secret! NOBODY NEEDS NO STINKIN' SNOW!!! That means every slide-related product ever made is a lie! This will have worldwide repercussions. Companies making everything from snowcats to high-tech skiwear have either been FLEECED right along with the rest of the world or they're part of a century-old SNOWJOB. Wait, that means the FAKE SNOW INDUSTRY is FAKE! They've been selling us unnecessary ground cover. They've duped us into believing we can't ride without snow. How stupid are we? We've all been paying ski areas millions to BUY WATER they don't need so they can spend millions on snow-making machines to MAKE SNOW we don't need!! That means all the world's skiers and snowboarders are stupid. Except the ones at Audi. Or maybe it means Audi made such a kickass commercial it even fooled hard-core riders.

I happen to work for the company who produced the commercial - Google me and you'll find out - and I can guarantee that this stunt was almost entirely performed, on the ground. But hey...non believers will keep non believing, won't change anything as far as I'm concerned Peace to all riders here :-)

En montagne, bien sur que l'on peut skier sur le goudron dans un champs de graminée en pente faible a des vitesses de malade, avec des prises de carre. Et il y a même des marmottes qui emballe du chocolat... La neige c'est qu'un truc de touriste !

The long grass seems questionable to me too. The jump over the tractor feel weird too : look at his knees during landing. I don't feel it's what I expect after a 5+m jump (based on the hight at the summit, tractor + giono for scale). Particulary when landing on grass.
