Canelo has been the shorter fighter for the last 9 years of his career. Canelo started at 147 lbs and won a belt at 174. He's been world champ at the lower weight classes already.

I read all the comments about Benavides like is he’s a way better match then munguia ,I’ll be fare by saying that I’ll still give a little edge to Benavides 55/45 against munguia but not cause he’s a better boxer just cause he’s bigger 6’2 so he always rehydrates like a cruiser weight in the night of the fight that’s mayor advantage ,an if we compare with matchups remember canelo knocked out Caleb an Benavides couldn’t ,while Munguia knocked out Ryder an Canelo Couldn’t in he’s hometown Mexico so maybe Munguia is a little better skill wise then Benavides just something to think about…an that’s the reason I descrédit Benavides cause instead of fighting in he’s real division class he’s fighting smaller guys he should be at least at 175 but maybe we won’t be called monster in that Divion ,while canelo does exactly the opposite by fighting bigger guys then him cause he so damm good n strong for guys he’s size ,,,Props to Canleo Those are Goat moves

Even after retirement Mayweather was making just as much if not even more than canelo. Really canelo usually averages about 15-20mil per fight. Don’t get me wrong I hope he gets what he’s asking. But in my humble opinion that’s a fairy tale figure for him. Canelo made a huge mistake when he went on his euro trip jumping promoters left to right to get his way. And simply turning his back on the boxing fans.

If Canelo can get $35mil to fight Munguia, why can’t he ask for $100mil for Benavidez, who is more highly regarded by the public? This is all business for Canelo. He’ll fight anyone but he’s made it clear what his asking price is.

@@Periquito_pin_pan dude turned pro at 15 against grown men. He’s not afraid of Benavidez. But at this point, Canelo’s not gonna fight someone like him if he can earn $35m fighting a Munguia. We think of it as a real fight but it’s pure business for them.

Benavides is highly regarded for what ? He has no accomplishments, he’s lost a belt to Cocaine, he lost another belt to the scale, he was drunk 2 weeks ago right in the middle of training camp… His list of opponents are ALL DUDES OVER 34 YEARS OF AGE (except Plant) AS OLD AS 38… Now he’s fighting a 37 year old, retired Gvozdyk… Where are the accomplishments? Where’s the résumé of elite opponents he’s fought? He was at 168 for 10 long years and NEVER EVER TRIED TO BECOME UNDISPUTED!!! DUDE HAS MORE FAILURES THAN ACCOMPLISHMENTS… HE IS HIGHLY REGARDED BY MEN WHO HAVE LOW STANDARDS, LIKE YOU! ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽
