Yeah, Benavidez really showed Canelo up by ducking the fights Canelo took and after all that talk got taken the distance by one of Canelo's leftovers. And Benavidez really showed Canelo what a killer he is by recently saying he refuses to fight Morrell and shouldn't have to face up and comers because he's not a champ like Canelo, when that's because David dropped his belt ducking smoke in the division in the first place lol. David stays fighting leftovers and his manager recently said they wouldn't take a Canelo fight in September because David's fighting Gvzodyk in June when nobody wants to see that rando fight and that's still plenty of time anyway. Yep, David is a real legend for spending his career padding his 0 for a 1 fight cash out.

Being a diva? He took the fights David ducked out on. Making public demands? It was team Benavidez lying about offers then deleting tweets when called out. Canelo put them on blast for it and invited an actual promoter make an offer. It was B side diva Benavidez who ducked the fights to be in Canelo's shoes and said he won't even do the B side thing of crossing the street. Canelo haters should instead be trying to convince team Benavidez to not talk so much because they keep contradicting their phony narratives, like Sampson just saying they'd reject a Canelo fight in September.

Canelo is an ex 154lber himself and shorter than Mell. Mell never lacked the size for moving up he just didn't take the same risks. Meanwhile Canelo is the smaller fighter who moved up to become the first four belt undisputed whereas David was the overgrown fighter in the division who dropped his belt and ducked unifications. And it was smaller Canelo who challenged 2 champs at 175 whereas David ducked a title shot even after blowing weight by 3 pounds. The main thing David is bringing is his padded 0 which he's been protecting for the cash out, yet he's still not in a rush with his manager Sampson saying they have no interest in a Canelo fight for September.

That's some wishful thinking when Bud's top career opponent is a post car wreck welterweight and after that his top names are damaged ex champs who hadn't won a title fight in years. And the fact that a couple fights ago he was out here getting dropped by a welterweight gatekeeper isn't a good sign when Canelo would be a different world than anyone he fought in every category skills, experience, chin, power etc plus a 20lb leap in weight. But Bud is most likely just cloutchasing the same way he did when Canelo was at 160 and backed track on that too. Name dropping the face of boxing Canelo brings him more attention than most of his actual fights and deflects from Bud being the one flat out rejecting his former mandatory/current IBF champ Boots and also saying he'd avoid 3 belt unified champ Mell. But people are worried about who Canelo's fighting next when Bud's the one who's only fought one reigning champ in more than half a decade. Funny how I didn't see fellow American Stephen making videos when Bud was out here fighting gatekeepers on his 1 fight a year schedule or pressing Bud on who he's fighting next.

The Benavidez team want the fight so badly that they are trying to say all the right things to make it happen. Benavidez its not a big enough attraction(beyond hardcore fans)for Canelo to earn that much money fighting him. And in that same interview his manager said they have no interest in facing Canelo next in September. Benavidez made his career all about padding his 0 for the 1 fight payday so they'd obviously want it to be as big as possible too, but David won't even do his part to build it up.

I'm not a big canelo fan, but he does make sense.. Canelo usually comes in at 175 lbs, and David comes in usually between 190-195, which is almost heavy weight... and Munguia is a beast. I've been watching him fight since 2017, and you guys are going to be in for a treat on May 4th..

Stephen A Smith, one thing I give you credit for, you're not the strongest boxing boxing commentator, but you are a very good boxing commentator, and when you do get on a fight, or a fighter to figgt a particular fight, like when you got on Floyd Mayweather.jr to fight Manny Pacquiao, that fight happened. If you stay on Canelo about fighting Benavides, that fight will happen. Stay on Canelo you have that right agateing voice and the power of the sports network to make that fight happen. A lot of commentators talk about fights, talking to make them happen. Although you're not the all around boxing commentator, but when Stephen A. Smith talks about a fighter not fighting the the fight that the fans what to see, it stirs the boxing c I community up, some how you have the thrust to make big fights happen. Facts!
