I wont even call that fight a whooping..floyd barely outscored him to win...problem was canelo went to k.o floyd and didnt change his game plan when it wasnt working,floyd defense is one of the best...instead he should of go to play chess with floyd would of ended up a draw

@@timmyjeff2204 Barely outscored him? I can't stand Mayweather but that was as good a masterclass in the sweet science I've ever seen, he moved but didn't run and made Canelo miss and made him pay. The only person who had it close was Ross. Out of 86 media scorecards, all 86 scored the fight for Mayweather, with an average score of 119-109. Those cards are way more legit than the corrupt judges being paid by Golden Boy. There's a reason Canelo was crying in the locker room...he was absolutely humiliated. Now to his credit, he learned from it, got back to work, and got better, and now is a legit HOFer with time to go.

@Im just a Troll whos intentions are good triple g being as old as he is would rock Charlo. Charlos movement won't be an issue with Canelo, only people that can give him an actual fight are people that can slip through punches and Charlo is definitely eating the floor just for the fact he won't be able to handle punches like triple g. Benavides as well will probably drop Charlo and Benavides isn't even ready for canelo yet, he's the only one that can give canelo any type of challenge and thats when he actually refines his skills at least in these weight classes.

And no one has been ducking Charlo. He just needs and actual resume to get there. When you talk about cherry pick you have to look other fighters resume before you talk about canelos "cherry picks" but haters always hate on the greats no matter what sport it is.

Canelo learned timing > speed because back then he would throw everything that he could but he wouldn't be as accurate as he is now with more powerful singular punches with less volume but more accuracy

Canelo is a monster his dedication and work ethic have brought out his natural abilities in such a way that I don’t see anyone his size beating him but I do want to see Benivadez and Charlo fights

Can Benavides absorb those Canelo body shots as he does with everyone else is the question. If he can, then he poses a serious threat due to his combo velocity and unusual stamina. On the other hand, can Benavidez's chin absorb a Rocky Marciano strength punch accompanied by a higher velocity? Based on Canelo's opponents' reactions, it seems as if Canelo is actually punching on that level.

The difference from this video to how he is today is clear as day! Canelo is much more smoother and relaxed now in his mittwork nowadays. Here he looks a tiny bit stiff but still looks good. Hes come a long way.

I would agree, but the difficult part of that hypothetical is that prime Floyd fought at 147 and prime Canelo is fighting at 168. They would have to meet in the middle at 160 and neither guy would be at his best at that point.

I liked the old Canelo, he was quicker and more exciting, with great defence along with it. Don't get me wrong he is brilliant now Aswell, but his aim is to walk you down with power shots and not absorb so much energy especially since he is fighting at an heavier weight, he is adjusting and playing it clever.
