I never thought to salt my bit will definitely do this in the summer. Since I'm in Buffalo Ny not sure about the winter since they will freeze and I warm by bit with my hands before I bridle...Thank you! I truly enjoy your videos and pick up something new with every one. Please, keep them coming

Love the very first part of this. I have people ask me all the time to teach them to ride all the time and I tell them all the same thing. Whenever you are serious. You are serious when you get over wanting to snuggle with your pretty pony and decide you want to teach your horse something. You have to be prepared to set some expectations and hold your horse to them.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Love a little old-cowboy wisdom. :) And believe me, I'll be applying it. I did learn one trick elsewhere to fix that trying to lope. You wait till they make the mistake, then shut them down by bending to a stop. That way you're not having to fight them with the reins so much. :) Just thought that was something you might want to know about. Also...if you can give us any uncut video versions I'd adore that, because then I can watch what you do through the whole thing. Not everyone's going to have the patience for that, but I intend to become a true horseman and I am getting a LOT of help from you. On a side note, my Grandpa would have loved you and I have a lot of respect for you both.

Pat mentioned a comment related to Dressage and about a king telling soldiers to never back up. I’m serious to know more about it, can you say what king was ? Or where can I find more info about it. Pat also mentioned that Because of all the revolutions Mexico has had they never surrender so they never back up ? So horses in Mexico don’t back up or was he talking about the king ? Thanks

I think it's great. You can get away with saying the things you say I've talked like you for. Many years in boy I could be the hardest. Meanest don't bring it across and understanding political correct way, and of course they get mad like you said, they'll cry they'll leave and I'll say you're no good SOB. But at the end of the day the horse is always telling on them. And then shows what you're doing is right and I appreciate that. That's great. Love it. Keep it coming.

When Pat talked about spreading your hand and touching the orbits he was turned away from the camera..., can you explain this again at some point. So much value in this one comment but I was unable to see what he was sharing with us. Thank you so much.

Im trying to figure out what you mean by, "ride a horse over here, not over here. That means you re only riding half of a horse.". I was trying to see what you were doing but couldnt figure it out.

So true, they can kill you... I took on "clients" at one time... I told a gal her horse and her was not a good fit, she was unwilling to be the boss.... Long story short she went a group trail ride in Wyoming (the horse had a problem in a crowd) she was flown out by flight for life.... You need this honest communicator in the business...
