It only takes 3 ingredients to make the BEST ham and beans. Seriously! Pressure canning your homemade ham and beans creates a salty, flavorful product that can't be beat.
Directions:
2 lbs dry Great Northern beans
1 lb carrots, peeled and chopped
2 slices ham steaks, chopped into cubes
Bring beans to a boil for 5 minutes. Turn heat off and let sit in the hot water for 1 hr. Drain. Add in carrots, ham, and cover with water. Return to a boil, simmer 5 minutes and then process 90 minutes for quarts, 75 for pints.
