If it helps, the "Rough spots" aren't really that rough. Living here a while I've never seen gang activity and only like two arrests. We have good community here too I think, all kindsa food stands and stalls pop up in my area basically daily and, as a queer and not that mask guy, I've never been harassed or messed with in this neighborhood, which I love.
