I like my Canon MG2522. I'm on my second one, but only because my first one was destroyed in a tornado. Easy peasy to set up and use. I saw a negative review regarding limited margins ... obviously that's not true. I use it with Microsoft Word and you can print whatever margin width you set, including footnotes and page numbers. Some folks are still technically challenged. And I'm 79 years old and saying that...

Chromebooks use Google Cloud Print to print, so the printer needs to be Google Cloud Print compatible. It also needs to be a wireless/wifi connected network printer. The MG2522 does not support Google Cloud Print and is not Wireless.

Thank you.I just unboxed and watching this to set up.Update : I was able to print successfully.I knew it was wired printer since walmart online clearly mentioned that.But I have wifi transfer app so my phone contents appear on my laptop and it was as easy as wireless printing. Setup issues I had : CD didnt work.I downloaded the full driver and software from their website.Also I had printer alignment issues but realized I placed the paper on scanner bed incorrectly ,once I changed the paper position it worked.

Suggest removing your ink cartridges and make sure you removed all the wrappings and tape from them. Then put them back into place and be sure to take note of how they are fitting in place securely.

Unfortunately, Chromebook is not supported by this printer. Chromebooks use Google Cloud Print to print, so the printer needs to be Google Cloud Print compatible. It also needs to be a wireless/wifi connected network printer and not USB connected. The MG2522 does not support Google Cloud Print and is not Wireless.

This printer will only print in "photo" format for 4X6" photo paper. Will not print in "photo" on 8 1/2 X 11. For 8 1/2 X 11 must print in normal mode, but prints come out good anyway.

Don´t recomand a printer that you did not test over a longer period of time. After 2-3 years Canon Pixma printer fail and they can´t be switched on anymore.

I had issues getting the software installed. The computer sees the printer but about 1/2 way into the setup I got an error message saying to check connection of printer to computer. I never did get it working so I took it back. I do not recommend this printer because cheap is cheap! I picked up a brother printer the next day and had it printing in 20 minutes. 145.45 but worth it. fax scans prints both sides, very nice for the price. the canon for maybe school if you get it to work good I guess

Suggestions: 1) Try a different USB port or/and different USB cable. 2) Check to see if USB cable connections are solid. 3) Uninstall and re-install the printer driver. 4) Restart your laptop once.

1) Are the ink cartridges empty or low ink? 2) Are they clogged or dryed out? 3) Double check you print settings. 4) You could have a print nozzle issue like the nozzles are clogged, try printing a nozzle check pattern to see if any of the nozzles are clogged. 5) You might need to clean the print head.

Put what you want to copy on the glass, press either the black or color button to the left of the scanner. To make a scan, you have to download the Canon Scanner utility from the Canon website.

Nice video, I am thinking of buying this- right now, Feb 2022 the price I have is 44 USD, the ink for my really old printer is 33 USD. I don't print alot, but it would be nice to have a scanner again, seems like a basic little printer that will suit me. Good to know about the automatic driver setup, I've read some had to d/l from the Canon site, because the disk didn't work that came with it. Not a big problem, but good tip. Thanks!

Does it only get maybe 50 copies per cartridge??? Because I just bought one and started printing 1000 flyers and when I got to only about 40 it started to print bad!!!!!!

Most all new inkjet printers come with "Starter Ink Cartridges". They give you just enough ink for you get started using your new inkjet printer (normally less than 75 pages depending on how much ink is used on each page). Then you will have to go and either get a new standard size "L" ink cartridges or "XL" which can give you somewhere around 200 to 300 or more pages and again it depends on how much is used per printed page. (your mileage may vary)

DO NOT BUY this printer. This is the worst printer I have ever seen. 2 years ago it was $19, now it is $35. It has a 1-2 inch margin on bottom, and no borderless mode so you can't even print footers. Waste of money.

Suggestions: 1) Make sure printer cable is secure on both ends. 2) Try a different USB port on your laptop. 3) Try uninstalling the print driver completely, reboot/restart your laptop, download and install the latest complete printer driver package from Canon website.

Hey, nick. it was awhile ago since you have posted this, but im trying to install the driver, and about 15 minutes in, it says printer not detected, so i turn it off, and turn it back, and then it detects it again, and about 5 minutes in, it shows the same message, and never ends up installing.

I suggest trying this, shut down, power off and power back on your laptop/computer, printer and if you can your wifi router/modem too. Also try moving your printer closer to your wifi router/modem. Then try installing the printer driver again.

The printer was a bit complicated to hook up kzfaq.infoUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 but it does the job very efficiently. I like the ink wells versus the ink cartages that cost an arm and a leg. It prints quickly and the quality is excellent. It shuts off when not in use, so you have to remember to turn it on. Overall, it exceeds my expectations. I'll update my review in a couple of months.

Canon website reports that the MG2522 has this Paper Compatibility: Plain Paper, Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, Photo Paper Glossy and U.S. #10 Envelopes.

My PIXMA MG2522 copies just fine, but is not connecting in my laptop with Windows 10. Can you help?

1) Try using a different USB port on laptop. 2) Try downloading and installing the printer driver again. 3) Try a different USB printer cable. 4) Make sure the USB printer cable is seated correctly on both the printer and the laptop.

@@nickscomputerfix It's too complicated! Never had this problem with a Canon before and I've had several of them, in fact my last one is PIXMA TR4500. I've downloaded this one two times. Now it's going back to the store.

The printing of shipping labels is dependent upon the software app and paper used to print them as well as a reliable printer.

Best way to print shipping labels is with a dedicated "Shipping Label Printer" made to just to do just that. To find a good one, Google using keywords: printing label printer

Yes, but printing pictures will use a lot of ink.

Yes. Go into the Printer Preferences from the app that you are printing from to the MG2522 printer. This is where you can change a lot of printer options.

Keep in mind this printer is not wireless and has no WiFi. Mac IOS and Chromebook is not supported. You can't Airprint to it from a MacBook. Keep in mind this printer is not wireless and has no WiFi. The printers OS compatibility are: Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, Windows 7,Windows Vista, Windows XP, Mac 9, Mac OS X v10.7.5 - 10.11. Suggestion: Try removing your ink cartridges and then insert them back into the printer and try printing again. Also make sure they are not leaking. If they are, then they might need to be replaced.

Nice video - nice clear audio with no distracting music. Your should demo anything you talk about: a) Hooking up the USB cable b) Installing the ink cartridges c) Adding the paper in the paper tray

You can download and install the latest complete print driver directly from Canon online. The Canon printer MG2522/MG2525 Full Driver & Software Package (Windows) download link that includes everything is in my video details/description area.

Laser printers and standard inkjet printers are good for printing barcodes and lables on label sheets or sticker sheets.

Unfortunately no, however, it's very easy to perform in Windows Print app before sending the doc or image to print. Print app is included in Windows 10 for free.

There are 2 buttons: When your document contains color text and/or objects and you want to copy it in color, press the green diamond button or when your document has only black and grayscale text and/or objects, press the black diamond button above the green diamond button.
