Using the Canon EOS R7 and their 70-200mm zoom lens I make some bird photos from my back porch blind. The 70-200 is great for bird photography from a light-gathering point of view. Unfortunately, it is a little bit short. But, on the R7 with its 1.6 crop factor, you get a 320mm full frame equivalent field of view. 320mm is still too short for bird photography in most situations but from the blind, I can get close enough to make it work. Plus, the R7 with its 32.5-megapixel sensor produces images with enough resolution to crop and still have some nice detail.
