It's really interesting how Toji despite having only 5 episodes of screentime changed the plot for JJK and his actions made Geto's character take a different turn.

Gojo took Toji's blessing(megumi) whereas Geto took Toji's curse...

Later on in the series you learn more about how the zenin clan treats people they see as failures, and you start to understand why toji held so much hatred towards the jujutsu world.

I like how Megumi in Season 1 talks about how his father didn't care to name him properly and gave him a girl name, and here we find out, he named him Megumi, because it means Blessing xD

Toji had a terrible upbringing with the zenin. You hit the nail in the coffin with his motivations at the end there. He told himself he would live with no pride after Megumi's birth, sadly he couldn't do that.

Extra info about Toji: when he was young he was like this maybe even worse but then he meet Megumi's mother and had Megumi(toji named him thinking of him as Blessings) and he settled down but after Megumi's mother died he went down the bad road again.

5:43 The beating that Touji gave him left him so touched that he began to use the monkey terminus on everyone who didn't use cursed energy. Its funny cause Toji was using it sort of ironically, since he was looked at that way by the Zenin clan, so he disparages getou by saying he got beat by a monkey. Then Geto turns around and start unironically calling non-curse-users monkey

oh girl, your empathy for these characters is actually so heartwarming even when it's a tragic story. and yes, in this moment, really, you can tell Geto is trying desperately to hold it together so he doesn't lose Gojo to whatever just happened, too. it's doubtful if Geto ever really knows how much this moment really did save Gojo from going down a more disturbing and empty road, and I'm glad that's felt. I'm also glad that Toji's situation is really felt, because if you think about it, despite being on opposite ends of the cursed energy spectrum (Gojo: all of the "blessings"; Toji: none of them), Toji and Gojo are BOTH just supremely fucked up because of jujutsu society's structure as a whole. anyway, thank you for your reaction. hope you also enjoy how this arc ends

Man i cannot blame Geto becoming evil at all, I really agreed with Gojo there wanting to kill all those that support the death of Riko, also Toji was one heck of a father, remembering his son at his last moment and trusting Gojo with him is just heart breaking, rip Toji! Although he did do a lot of damage to everyone-

When Toji and the mediator were talking about the maid, Kuroi, it was referring to when she got kidnapped last episode basically confirming that Toji was the one who kidnapped her. Toji doesn't know if she survived or not though we do see a shot in this episode of her lying on the ground bleeding out so she's likely dead.

Not only because of the religious group, Geto's ideals start to break little by little because of more than one event, especially since it always reminds him that he suffers from his technique for people that don't give a shit about him, and that are able to laugh at a kid's death or blame sorcerers for bringing curses. I love how they made that last part where he refuses to kill everyone there because "there wasn't a point", it fits perfectly into his character. Suguru NEEDS a purpose for what he's doing, til now he had the purpose that "The strong must protect the weak", and in the movie it was that "The weak subdue the strong", referring to the fact that non-sorcerers are the ones who create curses and still don't care if sorcerers die while fighting it.

Gojo has created a theme of giving all of his students the option to choose their fate per say, he failed to stop Toji from claiming the bounty and as a result he failed to give her the option to continue to live as she chose. He doesn’t want to fail again, so he gives each of his students choices, and offers to kill even the highest in the chain of command for his students to be able to achieve their choice.

Some theories say that Gojo will turn into a villain by the end of the manga because of his eyes power

If you remember that Toji never won when he was gambling for money, before he died made his last gamble to entrust Megumin to Gojo. Toji had never had any luck in winning when gambling, but this time he won.

wow i cant believe you actually understood Toji's character and that he is more than just some villain of this arc He is the catalyst of Gojo and Geto's relationship Despite having 0 CE he wanted to prove to himself and the zenin clan that he was worth something by defeating the PINNACLE of Jujustu Sorcery which is something nobody can do On top of that with his mindset with Megumi all together makes Toji such a beautiful character

I dont know if anyone has said this but i think one reason gojo was high was the reverse cursed technique on his brain since cursed energy=neg emotions reversing it in his brain filled him with positive emotions putting him in a state of euphoria

your analysis of toji's character and the beginning of the end for geto's development is incredible! a lot of other reactors have been voicing their confusion with how geto could go so, so far from the person we see in episodes 1 and 2, but you hit the nail on the head. geto is starting to see weakness (having no cursed ability) as a poison instead of a virtue. he sees gojo, a sorcerer with an immense amount of cursed energy, become completely enlightened, while the civilians around him are ignorant. their wanton hatred of sorcery is only going to spawn more curses that sorcerers then have to deal with, because they can't control the output of their negative emotions. it's a vicious cycle, and geto's mental spiral to try and figure out what it all means is only going to get worse in the finale of this arc (no spoilers but damn there are a couple of panels from those chapters in the manga that straight up gave me chills, i can't wait to see them animated next week)

Idk why in the anime it was changed personally i loved the parallels but this was just as awesome as i hoped it would be animated

Toji really made a big impact to Gojo and Geto

Okay so quick explanation on why Gojo was “high”. When Gojo mastered the Reverse Cursed Energy manipulation, he flooded his wounds with it, healing himself. He then let it flow through his body, and his brain, letting it speed up to extreme levels without taking damage. He got high from the sudden sensory overload and new levels of thought that he could never have even understood before. Due to his Six Eyes he can also basically do this forever; unlike others who use Reverse Cursed Energy like Shoko.
