It is time for another Canteen Cup Tuesday. Today I am cooking up some easy BACON Pork & Beans. I started with canned pork & beans to make it easier and quicker but it still came out GREAT!! Please let me know what you think in the comments below...

I do have a question. I have a 1942 canteen cup, no rust inside just the handle (unfortunately) Am wondering if I can use that ? Or if it has lead. I researched it and it never said anything about having lead. Am just wondering if you know. I been itching to use it and yes am new :)

Woo-hoo! Great 👍canteen cup Tuesday return 👏. I make a brunch canteen cup fry up , 2 cans hunts beans from the 🇬🇧 UK section of publix , brown 6 , 2 oz link breakfast sausage in canteen cup save on the side . Cook 6 strips of Hickory cure bacon cut into 1/2 inch slices in canteen cup till crispy . Take 3 boiled peeled eggs cut then in half and set with sausage . Put beans in to canteen cup with bacon and about half of the grease. Heat till simmering and let cook adding chopped fine onion and a dash of white pepper , simmering till onions and beans are cooked through. Add Frank's, or crystal hot sauce to taste, then back to a simmer and pour over sausage and eggs on plate and place layer of Parmigiano originate over top. Eat with Bannock or just toast 🤔. I like it 👌😋

Matt, as long as the bacon is smoked you can carry it for a day (on the package) As far as cheese freeze it as well. Cowboys carried bacon in a cloth for weeks, just smoked.

I've done this before, I use the actual "real" bacon bits, or chopped up "ready bacon" none of those "fake" bits! all food items I carry in an insulated lunch bag in my day pack, also I carry various flavor of Taco Bell sauce as well... Thanks for bringing back Canteen Cup Tuesdays! As long as you don't do another Vienna sausage video I'll let you slide on the last one Ok?

I always called gramma macks pork&beans ,the actual wife of a sea captain ( he had the license ) ! A tiny bit of water to start the bacon and onions when the bacon is almost cooked ( crisp?)?, works with pinto beans too ,tomato sauce or ketchup with the bacon fat (that's what makes it good ) ? the dates on can mean nothing ,they are wast it dates ( by the way if your are going to throw you can stuff out because of the date seed it to me instead )! there is canned goods from ww2 that are still good as the day they were canned ,that is what canning is for ! a block of cheese and a stick of salami are basic mini survival kit pack whatever, you can get by for quite a while ,a girl of a wild land fire in the late 80's taught me that , she was quite the lady !

Bacon 🥓 beanie weinies sounds so much more lyrical. No need to apologize for last week it worked. Sargento cheese people are real cheese people even on the trail. Crystal extends the best by date 😎 Yes some onions cooked up with the bacon 🥓 would have taken it up two notches. But another good video thanks Great midweek pickup

Great video. And ya we can carry cheese out with us and it will last a long time. Mack and cheese. Clover valley snack cheese cheddar pasteurized cheese snack. Made with real cheese . Jack link beef and cheese stick . Which is good mixed in with some rice. So ya I saw this video and I make hot dogs and beans. Kings Ford . Brown sugar molasses baked beans. That should be good.should be real good. The little weenies in the can nothing wrong with them . When you got to eat . You got to eat. Great video . God bless. From Glenn CATT in Massachusetts.

Some bacon Spam would've been perfect in there!👍🏻😎😉 I always carry a package of real bacon bits in my pack for bacon emergencies! 😝 Laughing Cow cheese wedges are very good and don't need to be refrigerated. Hard cheese old up pretty good too. Nothing wrong with last week's video. Some people luv those sausages. I'm not a fan of them, but never really had them before either. Kudos for using real Wisconsin cheese too!👍🏻🧀🔥 And no fake Velveeta cheese or Cheez Wiz!👎🏻😖
