In this video, I decorate my home with recent and previously purchased thrift store finds. I include several DIY projects using my thrift stores finds which include turning glass light shades into bells and a light bulb into a sparkly snow ball, updating a berry wreath, creating custom art with vintage frames, upcycling a muffin tin into wall decor, adding a holiday transfer to a cutting board, making a garland from a beaded car seat, using plates and a cookie jar as kitchen Christmas decor, upcycling wood houses into chair decor, making a child’s advent calendar using a thrifted wire basket and favor bags from Dollar Tree, and more!

Just a suggestion Sherry, I sure would love a video on how you download images, change their shapes, and make the large book pages. Many of us are not good at things like that. Also it would be fun to see how you store your out of season decor, you seem to change so much.

So many great transformations, but my favorite is the ceramic bells. When I was a kid, my mother always hung a set of lighted bells in our kitchen window. They looked so inviting and cozy from outside. Thanks for the wonderful memory of my childhood. ❤️

Thanks! Although I love the houses tied to the island chairs, my dogs would think I hung chew toys for them. It made me giggle. But I like the project and would have to place it higher 🙄 So many great ideas! I have all the supplies for the muffin tin, I think I will try that!

Thank you, Lisa! I have watched some other Christmas home tours, and everything is beautiful and perfect and straight from the store. I haven’t done a full tour yet. I worry that my house may look frumpy with all my thrift store finds. So far, the only Christmas decor item I have purchased new is ribbon.

As if I don’t have enough to do, now all of your creative ideas are adding to my to do list! I don’t know if I should be upset with you or over the moon thrilled lol. I am taking some glass votives and will make them into mercury glass bells, I am pulling out the wax from my old muffin tin candles and will re-create your beautiful idea on that, and can’t wait to decorate the back of my chairs again. However, I am most excited to cut some paper boxes with my cricut to use as advent calendars for my grandchildren, thank you so much for all of your wonderful ideas, you’re such a lovely person and I appreciate you sharing your talents.

Thanks SO much for sharing the inspiration, and esp the images!! I keep bottles of cheap nail polish in red and burgundy to touch up berries that have become chipped. Blends right in and takes only minutes.

I would love to thrift but I am not able to walk enough to shop. I check out marketplace and my husband is picking up 5 more finds for me this morning...LOL he is a gem. Loved everything you featured! But, there was one thing I noticed, not featured, that was a knock out of the park! Your switch plate embedded in your bulletin board. That was an awesome idea! Storing that idea away in my mental file drawer. You rock!

What a fantastic video. LOVED the painted glass bells. Loved the re-do on the little NOEL houses. That beaded seat cover is getting a LOT of use, and the muffin tin was super cute. I thoroughly enjoy your use of thrift finds, not just store bought items. Just when I think you've completed a craft, you finish it off with something so special making it magical (the little tree and snow strategically placed inside the muffin tin). I am always amazed at the prices of things you find at your thrift store. A Currier and Ives plate and C & I house for $2 each and that large plate rack for just $3! Wow!!! My store would have had high $$ signs on each of them. Great scores! Always enjoy seeing your creations. I love the old carpenter's tool box on your hearth and also your green teapot. You always find such treasures your thrift stores, fab ideas to reuse them. The 3 tier metal plate rack was a good find, and the berry garland. A clean, adding a bow and some greenery is all they need. I'll keep looking at my local charity shops.

You sure did inspire. Several of the projects were right up my lane. I like those projects that are more on the elegant side over the whimsical. The music sheet with tree poster was nice because it decorates what you've already have up. Then when the holiday is over its an easy piece to stow away.

You are absolutely correct! You can find a great deal of Christmas treasures at thrift stores. A couple of months ago I found three of the annual Norman Rockwell plates. They are simply beautiful!!
