It's nice to a a 32' reed in the pedal but there should have been a flue 32 too...

Why pistons to select between 4 organ types? It seems it would have been better to make the pistons user assignable (1,2,3,4), so more organ types could be added in future updates of the software. I just ordered my Trio today; I have Hauptwerk VII Advanced, and may use the Trio as MIDI controller for it if I don't like the internal organs or I want more instruments beyond the 4 in the Trio. The size and relative portability are what I want.

Bear in mind that when the word 'portable' is used, this instrument weighs in at 32kg - not altogether surprising, but definitely a good idea to have a second person to assist!

Yes, after carrying theTrio, bench, table and pedals up a flight of stairs and to the room in my house, by myself, I'd describe it as "moveable" not portable. 😁

@@zoomzoom3950 You gotta give Viscount credit though that they managed to make a "portable" organ like this in the first place. Kudos to them!

Hopefully someone can help me. I've been asked to do some relief Sundays using the Cantorum Trio. I can't seem to be able to figure out how to set the orchestral voices and can't find a reference in the manual either. I'm hoping to use chimes on manual 3. Thanks in advance.

Nice, but still waiting for portable and affordable instrument with Physis technology
@benedictdsilva39543 жыл бұрын
That would be great

Michal you either have the choice of affordable or Physis technology. It will be a long time before Physis is this inexpensive. Do you want to wait that long or would you rather have a good sounding portable three manual organ now?

it just came out

Interesting but one thing,, the 4 types of organ all sounded the same lol perhaps I need my ears de-waxing.

Problem is that the sound is very boxy and synthetic. The Artem technology is not as good as Hauptwerk-like pipe-by-pipe sampling.
@JonnyMusicOrganist Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, if we're talking about organ sound sampling from manufacturers (not including Hauptwerk's VPO software), Viscount's ARTEM sampling sounds LEAGUES better than Johannus organs in general (I can vouch for this as I used to be a church organist playing on a Johannus Ecclesia T-270 from a church I previously attended, and I was blown away with the sound quality of a comparable Viscount ARTEM-based organ when I played one for the first time and still am impressed with how well it holds up). Now in terms of affordability and variety of product options, Allen Organ Company's Organs are way out of reach for many who want to get into the wondrous world of the Organ due to how prohibitively expensive their limited line of instruments are, not to mention that they over-engineer their sounds even more so, which can negatively affect how the may sound from their monitors, thus may not sound very desirable overall. Now let me ask you, would you rather custom-build your own physical Hauptwerk organ console, or go for the simpler, already-built solutions that Viscount offers, which can make excellent midi controllers without putting in the extra work of building one yourself? 🤔

@@JonnyMusicOrganist Hi Jonny Thanks for your detailed response. I have read reviews about the ARTEM technology and people are very positive about it (5 stars, best). The Cantorum Duo and Cantorum Trio make excellent keyboard controllers for Hauptwerk. There is tracker touch on these Cantorum's which is nice. I agree entirely with your comments about Allen organs. They are too heavy and bulky, and over-engineered for domestic use.
