I have rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis too! It’s great that you are able to cut your own food for preparation, I’m not really able to do that so much. But my lovely husband is happy to do all the prep work and we still can things together. I love the idea of using the clear jel. I usually just thicken things with cornstarch after opening

Julie, I have a new can (store bought metal cans) opener. It is mounted on the inside of a lower cabinet door...the handle swings out and it's much easier to turn than the conventional squeeze/turn openers. I have arthritis in my hands/wrists, also. My husband is always willing to help with chopping veggies, peeling fruits, etc. 😊

There is nothing wrong with a “1960’s” kitchen! I inherited my fathers home when he passed. It was my childhood home and he lived there for 50 years. It’s all original besides a different stove , fridge, updated bathroom and I put in all wood floors. But the kitchen cupboards are real wood not pressed glued together wood. It’s fine. I just need everything to function, and work. I do t care if it’s “pretty”. Just clean and works! Thank you for sharing. I love canning chicken. I’m always adding different flavors in it. My favorite is a Korean spice chicken with a little Sriracha in it. I’m glad I found your channel! New subscriber here!

Hi Amy. Then you definitely need to come back because you won't believe the flavor explosions, I have coming up for Canuary in my home. I love the unexpected and I try to stock as much of that as I do plain proteins. Those are great to have on hand to make things like this dish quickly, lol Thanks for watching!

Thank you so much and I definitely agree... it's MUCH healthier without all that extra fat on there. I save the scraps and put it in my freezer scrap bag for use in my homemade broth. Most Jewish households have two kitchens, if not two completely separate cooking areas in one because of Kosher cooking. But, every household should have a separate kitchen, it’s as important as a pantry. 😊

@@MsK-xm7vw I just learned about the separate kitchens Orthodox Jewish people have (I watch Miriam on Tik Tok and have learned so much about their culture and faith) Such a wonderful concept to keep the meat and the dairy away from each other. AND yes. Having two kitchens IS as important as a pantry, regardless of your beliefs :)

Good tip to layer the thighs in a circle in the jars, making a hole in the middle of the jar for the sauce. Initially, I was not interested in this recipe but I sat through it and really appreciated the detailed instructions. Now I want to make it, especially for the make and take lunch moments. Thank you!
