TO ALL THE PEOPLE WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED: Before OT started, Thornton said to the sedins that they are the same sisters from 2011. After Daniel scored the OT goal he looked at the bench and Thornton said "I have my name on two Stanley cups, how many do you have Daniel? How many how many?" Dorsett then skates over the bench to hear Thornton say "end it like rypien did" as he squirted Daniel with water. That's when the fight broke out. That is going way to far and the NHL should really look at this and suspend Thornton

+Jake The only reason Thornton needs to speak about his name on two Cups like that is because he knows he's a bad hockey player. It's truly pathetic. What a brainless man-child. On the Anaheim team in 2007 in particular he had a crazy small amount of ice time. In the 2007 & 2011 playoffs combined Thornton has 1 assist in 33 games. 1 assist in 33 games! It was probably a secondary assist too, I would assume. Over 101 playoff games in total Thornton has 1 goal. 1 goal in 101 playoff games! I mean, ugh. Ugh. Gino Odjick scored 4 goals in 44 playoff games.

You're right, my apologies. How about we talk about how great Vancouver fans are for trashing their beautiful city in 2011? Point is, every fanbase has it's ups and downs. But making fun of attendance is such a beaten down joke only elitist fans still think it's funny. Not to mention Florida has had a lot more fans at games now that they're actually good.

How about we talk about how many riots there are in the U.S. If you honestly think Vancouver "fans" trashed the city you are mistaken. It was just an excuse to riot. There wasn't even a single death.

A. That has nothing to do with hockey fans. B. The riot happened as a result of the Canucks losing. I agree there were a lot more people there doing it as an excuse, but there were people wearing Canucks jerseys taking part in it too. Also you say "there wasn't even a single death" like that's supposed to be a good thing. The situation was already bad enough, casualties would have made it 10X worse.

I remember once getting hit at centre ice one game (didn’t have the puck, play wasn’t near me) and I hit my head, I took a second to get up and when I looked over at my bench both my team and the other team were just attacking each other lol it was very interesting. I joined my team, of course.

it wasn't the panthers that started the brawl. Daniel sedin said something to the bench about the goal and the panthers didn't like it. whatever it was it was unsportsmanlike for sedin to say anything

+nibble on deez nuts well, most of the teams in the NHL both USA and Canada are made up by Canadian players and captains. It was a joke, I know Florida has fans. It's not our fault that we have no cups in 45 years :-/

+nibble on deez nuts and Canadian hockey players make up 50% of the NHL, and Americans make up 25%. Also the USA has 23 teams, Canada has 7 because you guys have more population. Also, what you call an "American team" is actually a team made up of many different nationalities.

this is not a brawl...not even close. Eneryone's got their gloves on. Just sensual hugging. Maybe outside north america this might be considered a brawl.
