Awesome explanation sir of parallel plate capacitor , loved how you explained dielectric polarization in the capacitor and the induced electric field, such an insight in this topic is also very useful while preparing for Joint Entrance Exam [JEE ADV] or IIT It is my humble request to read Concepts of Physics HC Verma which is a very great book and will also help you and your students for AP physics exam . HC Verma has many beautiful and conceptual question and will keep you interested .😎😎🤓😁

Looks good! And yes, every year, I'm on edge when I do that demo. I haven't shocked myself in a few years, though.

My wife was not happy when she watched that demo. “How many years have you been doing this?” 😬

I tried it for the first time just yesterday and I wore dishwashing gloves and safety glasses! Still scared me. :D

@@FlippingPhysics In the class I TA'd, students did that experiment with plastic-coated paper clips, stripped at the end for contacting the capacitor terminals. I would've suggested the same method for your demonstration, but the bare paperclip gives the teaching opportunity that comes with Billy's question. You are the proverbial "bird on the wire" when there is no path for current through you.

I love it when you get confused by your "students" remarks sometimes. Relatable to when I confuse myself with weird thoguhts. Proper reaction/acting lol Another amazing video! Thank you :)

I assume the unit in potential difference is Joule (s) and the voltage is Joule/coulomb.

3:52 you can do something about that. If you can write in italic then you can also write upright. Just put all the units upright as they are supposed to be and there is no more confusion!
