Very curious about the legal side of this - whether plans were passed and local building bylaws. Does this classify as a "temporary" or "permanent" structure? Intending to build a tiny house in SA soon.

This is very area dependent - some municipalities have already caught on and implemented bylaws for tiny homes in their areas, so you'll have to check in the area you plan to park whether they have such bylaws to adhere to - other areas still see the tiny homes built on wheels as mobile homes and do not require council permissions, but may still have rules surrounding mobile homes...
