Finally we are heading for the Cape, this has been on my bucket list since i was 12 years old and finally it come time to tick it off. We start from the town of Normanton and attempt to cut across to the Peninsula Development road, get caught out my flooded rivers over the road. pushing us to divert onto the "Old Coach Road" which with out us knowing would turn into our toughest challenge yet, pushing the Troopy and our selves to breaking point.

Yes the old coach road from maytown to little Laura river took us about 6 hours in a go patrol.Well worth doing.I got to say doing it with all that weight up top and on the rear would make you feel uneasy on more than a few occasions.Slow and steady will get the job done.

Fair drive, especially with the leaf springs and carrying all that weight. 🤦🏽

You struggled because whilst I know you have a GVM upgrade, you need to get your weight lower down, and do some major weight reduction where possible. The combination of the RTT, a boat, rear box, gas bottles, etc that high up/behind the axle is negatively affecting your handling. Consider an underbody water tank between the axles and long range diesel tank instead of jerry cans. Interesting videos though, keep up the good work.

Another great video. Which road - from the South (-East)? - did you take to go to the Goldfields? Would you happen to have the name / GPS coordinates of the (main) crossings before you got to the southern end of the Old Coach? Greetz from Europe!
