Off The Trax has recently returned from a four week adventure to Cape York in Queensland. Join us in this episode as we tack the northern section of the Old Telegraph Track. We were driving a Toyota Prado whilst our mates Nicole and Nico are in the Ford Ranger. A big thanks to those guys once again for contributing footage for this clip.
The guys walked every crossing before attempting them and here they are in order (south to north):
Scrubby Creek - the deepest crossing that we came across on our trip
Canal Creek
Sam Creek - be sure to pull up here for a quick walk downstream to find the second 'secret' waterfall
Mistake Creek
Cannibal Creek - watch out for bush wasps if you're out of your vehicle or you'll be doing a semi submerged ninja dance like Ally lol
Cypress Creek - old log bridge
Logan Creek - can also be quite deep so pick your line
Unnamed Ford - stay to the right of the stick!
Nolan's Brook - this crossing is famous for claiming vehicles and conditions change regularly.
To do the norther section we headed off from Bramwell along the PDR and left our Jayco campers at the Jardine River camp area and back tracked along the PDR to do the northern section (south to north). We then camped at the Jardine overnight.
