Captain Marvel: is sexually harassed by a man and uses her powers on him in a deleted scene that isn't even canon in the movie. In the actual canon of the movie, she is harassed a lot by men, and yet it's basically water off a duck's back as she continues doing what she does best: helping people, and saves the skrull refugees from the kree who used, controlled, and brainwashed her throughout the movie. Becomes best friends with Nick Fury, inspiring him to find other people like her to defend the earth, gives up her entire life to help the skrulls find a new home, spares Yon Rogg's life despite how horrible he was, helped Mar Vell and nearly died doing so prior to the movie's events, went around for decades helping other planets the way the Avengers help earth, comes to Fury's aid the moment he pages her, saves Tony Stark's and Nebula's lives, and assists the Avengers against Thanos. Is played by Brie Larson, a great actress with a deadpan sense of humor who has some opinions about trying to create a diverse society that gives equal opportunities to everyone regardless of things like gender, race, and sexuality. People: act like Captain Marvel is an evil feminazi bitch and want her to die. Peggy Carter: punches sexist guy in the face in her first scene, is condescending toward everyone, isn't straightforward with Steve about whether she really wants him or is banging Howard Stark, shoots at Steve because another woman kissed him while they weren't even dating and she's jealous, recruits known Hydra Nazis like Zola to work for SHIELD, and in the House of M reality was bigoted toward mutants and divorced Steve because he wasn't and he didn't want to work for SHIELD because they were. Also is played by Hayley Atwell, who attacked Sharon Carter and Staron, encouraging her fans to do the same, which caused them to send Emily Vancamp death threats, and sexually harassed Chris Evans in interviews and in the filming, as the scene where Peggy touches his pec is unscripted. People: Peggy Carter is queen! Me: WTF, humans?

So it's okay for a woman to hit a soldier about to go into combat and risk life and limb for her and all American women for saying something slightly disrespectful. Imagine the outrage at the movie if the gender roles were reversed and a male officer broke a female soldier's nose because she said something disrespectful. There is no excuse for this double standard. I don't understand why people find this scene acceptable, it just goes to show how so many Americans are all about fighting for "equal pay" but totally fine with a woman hitting a combat soldier about to go into battle with Nazis because he said something slightly disrespectful. What a sick and disgusting society we live in.
