His concern with Steve's action and his apparent death was the harm it would do to morale, especially of the people back home. Domestic support for a war is critical in a democracy. I find it interesting that Steve is so good natured and loyal almost to a fault that he was willing to receive any disciplinary action against him because he still went against his orders. It’s just one of the most consistent things in the mcu and it’s cool how he’s tested over and over again yet remains a genuinely good guy, who’s even worthy to wield mjolnir.
@GuukanKitsune

@marianoyuba3736 Сағат бұрын
@@sergiomendoza4850 I think the distinction would be more like, he's actually extremely ethical and respects the rules, enough so that he is willing to face the music if he's broken one. However, his ethics also mean that he WILL occasionally break one if he needs to because he'll never let rules stop him from doing what he knows is right, and he'll never follow orders blindly if he thinks they don't stand for what he believes in. Each of the Captain America films shows him breaking the rules for a right cause, be it ignoring orders and rescuing a unit that was officially abandoned, going against his country and government because he knows it's been compromised, or standing up for superhuman rights because he knows they've earned it and his friend is being framed to enforce the law. Even in The Avengers, where he's uncertain of absolutely everything, he's not afraid to dig into his own unit's dirty laundry because he knows something's off (as off as HYDRA weapons being stored by SHIELD).

To be fair, the government used him and the soldiers he saved as lab rats and wanted to get rid of the evidence. It wasn't really an act of racism in that regard. The soldiers could've been white and Isaiah too, and I'd still expect the government would want to blow up the POW camp. Of course, selecting African Americans to use as lab rats because they're "more expendable" is incredibly racist.

Honestly, I like how they ended it with him. It proves Steve is, in the end, human. Which makes him all the more heroic. Which of us honestly would not take the chance to be with the person we loved most in the world, who had passed. Steve only wanted what every other hero who lost somebody wanted. Peggy was just, not snapped into oblivion. Heroes who are inhuman , are missing something. In the end it is what you do despite fear, imperfections and flaws that makes you a hero. Overcoming those things is heroic. Indeed Tony also illustrates this with his actions in the same movie.

I feel like you somehow forgot the context of either scenes? Steve got back with everyone cheering and supporting him, he got his best friend back and he saved a bunch of people, the army was never going to "discipline" him and he KNEW it. Walker literally just saw his best friend die in front of his eyes by the hands of the people who tried to kill him and he's now being called a monster for killing one of the people who is responsible for his best friend's death and his own attempted murder and the government is literally stripping him of his rank and pay and his VA health benefits, things that he EARNED by bleeding for his country and earning THREE medals of honor. Those are entirely different circumstances that call for very different reactions.

MCU didn't, but DCU did a good job with Wonder Woman. It's pretty simple actually. If you do a period piece with actual Nazis, you are allowed to have clear cut heroes and villains. If you have clear cut heroes and villains, you can make a really fantastic action movie. You'll notice that every good action movie has a German villain because they can't try to make Germans/Nazis relatable. If they did, they would have nothing to call Republicans.

actually it depends on which fight your talking about that the range is 70 to 90 years in future. 70-72 years for avengers 1 and close to 87-90 years for avengers endgame

Tommy Lee Jones is an old fat man... and such a good actor that he effortlessly dominates every scene he's in.

Fun fact - Josh Brolin played a young Agent K in the third MIB film. As we know he also played Thanos.

I mean, kinda depends on who Isiah's senior was. Steve's commander was a good guy. Possibly Isiah's wasn't.
