Hi there, thanks for watching! Today’s video we will be Reviewing/Overviewing Captain America: The Trial Of Captain America The Omnibus. This Omnibus was just recently reprinted and we have yet to cover it so here we are. This is 1 of the 5 Ed Brubaker Captain America Omnibuses and is Technically volume 4 out of the 5. I feel this is not the peak of the Brubaker run on Cap but still worth a visit because of the substance it adds to many characters. let me know what you guys think and Thank you so much as always! Love this run so much. Love this volume as well. I agree that it’s a lil more on the weaker end but still good while going more in depth on the character. Well done review fam. My rank is: Cap Vol 1 Death Lives Return Trial 🤘🏾

Love that we agree on this! I feel like we were reading comics at the same time and probably having the same reactions! Solid and Valid ranking! I could for sure co-sign on that list sense I think I’d rank it the same exact way, maybe I’d switch lives and return but still spot on!

So happy marvel reprinted these last two Omnis this year finally have it all in Omni format! Appreciate the review. Love this run but hard to top that first omnibus 💪👏📚

Solid ranking! Mine would probably be 1. Death of 2. Cap by Brubaker 3. Return of winter soldier 4. Cap lives 5. Trial of cap

I enjoyed this one, but it's not one of the best in the run. Cap Lives is the weakest one for me (the Reborn story is a complete mess to me and a huge disappointment), but the overall run is great.

I agree! This run while great definitely has its peaks and valleys through out the entire run. I can understand people not enjoying Cap Lives, I shakes up a lot of stuff post Civil War and can come out of left field. Appreciate you watching!

@@Illuminerdy_ thank you for the videos! and yeah, I actually just read this whole run a couple of weeks ago, having only read the first omnibus almost 15 years ago...and besides the plot and Red Skulls scheme being ropey in Reborn, I was taken out by Osborn and the Dark Avengers showing up, even though I was familiar with that bit of continuity, I feel like Brubaker could've done a better job of contextualizing it. Bryan Hitch kills it, though. I think the art in the run is overall very strong, Butch Guice does some of the best work of his career in this volume and the next one imo

@@nivekleveb8872 My pleasure Really! I was a huge fan of the OG Dark Reign stuff with Osborn, Dark Avengers and Hammer so I always enjoyed them showing up and Norman throwing his weight around. I agree with the art statement tho, all of the art during the run felt very fitting to the tone and character which is always a great addition to a run that already has the writing down! Still an incredible run that is a must read but I think we both agree it’s not PERFECT despite it being very VERY good.
