Unpopular opinion: While I won't comment on other elements of this game, the humor in the game was actually pretty good. People saying it wasn't funny at all just force themselves to hate the game, or simply try and pretend it's awful just because they got too attached to the Arkhamverse canon and/or comic accuracy..

Idk how to explain it properly but it was bad because it was good, and it was good because it was bad. It's EXACTLY how I expected the characters to react and comment on the DC world. But that's just it, they're so disrespectful and annoying that I can't help but hate the game for it. When that is exactly how they SHOULD act, it would be worst if they were all nice and polite and "Oh boy guys! I love Superman and we should help", you know what I mean? I think the best way to put it is: "Just because something makes sense and is fitting, doesn't mean I HAVE to like it for it."

I'm glad they didn't restrain themselves from using profanity here and there while cracking jokes, but also glad they didn't overdo it with bad mouthing because that would just make it seem like they were using excessive adult language as a substitute for unimaginative dialogue and poor humor

The game may be ass but I do genuinely really like the squad members. Boomerang is exactly what I want out of him down to being an utter loser, Harley is cute, Deadshots pretty neat, and King Shark is always fun. Just solid portrayals

I absolutely loved how much of a villainous scumbag boomerang was in this game. Usually in stories like this they tone down their villainous nature to make them more "likeable". With boomerang he gets so insufferable even the other squad mates sock him in the face.

He does actually. His melee next to King Shark’s is one of the best cause it damages enemies from a distance and later in the game you can continuously boost up your melee as much as possible so you you don’t have to use guns as often. He also uses his boomerangs for his special attacks and traversal.

@@Megaproductions302i actually like his shotgun more than I thought I would. Paired with the sniper rifle, he really is THE Jack of all trades of the game, and his traversal is the most engaging for me because it feels quick (unlike Harley) yet involved (unlike Deadshot)

You wanna know what would've worked better? If Brainiac made a bunch of Justice League *clones* that you had to kill while the real Justice League was out of commision. It wouldn't have been perfect, but it would've been "leagues" better than what we got here.

I’d say that Captain Boomerang and King Shark were the best parts of this whole game. They basically carried it by making me want to see them more. That’s really the only reason to keep playing the game. It’s like the Mario or Zelda CDI games where you’re there for the goofy and poorly animated cutscenes only. Boomerang is a perfect blend between someone you hate or are annoyed by and someone who you can laugh at and love for his stupidity and assholery. King Shark is… well he’s King Shark. Do I really need to say anything else? I just wish the devs AT LEAST made a decent/average game for them to be in.

I used to read Suicide Squad comics in the 90's, and while I admit I've lost track of later installments, I feel they did good with both Captain Boomerang and Amanda Waller's personalities. It's fun seeing Boomerang being the unrepentant jackass of the group, because he kinda was back then as well, though a little less coarse.

It's just another Last Of Us 2 situation, the story gets leaked, everyone finds out their favorite character is killed off (99% sure it's a fake out in Suicide Squad), they refuse to touch the game because "It's garbage" and then continue to review bomb or trash talk it on every site they use.
