Captain Eddie’s Fairey Firefly

4 жыл бұрынEddie Kurdziel, EAA 431776, brought his rare Fairey Firefly AS6 to EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2019, and won Reserve Grand Champion: Post World War II. The Firefly was introduced in 1943, and operated by the British Royal Navy as a fighter and anti-submarine aircraft, and was also used in a ground-attack role during the Korean War.

Wow, it tells me I'm the 489th viewer, but I must be actually # 490, that is real early for me. I think I had heard of the Fairey Firefly before, but have never seen even pictures of one. Mean looking aircraft and it sure is labor intensive to maintain and fly.
