During the fight scene set to the song “I’m just a Girl,” by No Doubt, is playing, the lyric, “Oh I'm just a girl,” is referring to the fact that Carol Danvers, AKA Captain Marvel, is in fact, a girl.

I know Fury's eye bothered a lot of people and I understand I honestly was expecting a very emotional moment when Fury was betrayed by someone close to him but on the other hand I can see him also just putting up a tough guy facade and hiding the fact that his eye was scratched out by a cat (flerken). Not everything about him has to be hard ass dark and scary

Also a side note, the Protector is also a codename for a Kree warrior called Noh-Varr aka Marvel Boy. He was also Captain Marvel during Dark Reign and became Protector later on in the Ms. Marvel run.

I have always found that picture of Yon-Rogg from the comics so weird 2:15 like, why does he have the G Mail logo on his chest? 😂

A line that stood out to me in the film was towards the end, Captain Marvels nephew, I forgot her name, told a skrull “I really like your eyes, you shouldn’t change them.” So I think if we were to find out which character was replaced by a skrull in the Mcu we should see if their eyes change colors between different events.

You missed PANCHO’S BAR! This was my favorite easter egg. Panchos is where test pilots of Muroc (or Edwards) air base went to drink back in the 40s and 50s. I don’t know if it was still a thing in the 90s, but still a great addition to the film.

The universal translator is in the first Guardians film. The scene where Star Lord flips the Nova guards off it can be seen on his bio in the lower left of the shot.

One small reference you missed is in the title, Captain Marvel, which is likely a reference to an obscure comics character by the same name, Captain Marvel.

When Carol flashes back to a flight training with Rambo she says “Higher, Further, Faster” and then Maria and her fist bump. That’s the name of one of Captain Marvels trade paperbacks.

In Captain Marvel, after Nick Fury learns that Goose is a flerkin, and not a cat, he says, "I'm trusting you to not eat me." This ties in with the Winter Soldier line, "Last time I trusted someone I lost an eye."

This is probably the closest we'll ever get to seeing the movies reference the TV shows of the MCU.hes only credited as bartender so as far as I'm concered, thats the first mcu character introduced on TV to appear in a MCU movie.fkn awesome!!

Talos suddenly arriving on the scene casually slurping a fast-food paper cup soda is WAY more a reference to QT's Reservoir Dogs, when Mr Blonde is seen suddenly arriving at the warehouse, boredly & outta left field sipping on one. It's even the EXACT same design of cup Blonde sips from that Talos does.

There is one scene where we see the back of Yon'Rogg's suit, and the panel lines form a pretty obvious M. That, together with the powers his suit has are a definite nod to his time in the comics where was none as "The Magnetron".

The Treaty that the Kree were forced to sign by the Xandarians (referenced in Guardians of the Galaxy vol.1) is no doubt with the Skrulls and through the efforts of Carol and I wonder if will introduce the Shiar Empire and Galactic Council? 2. When Asked if Talos can change into a filing cabinet, I think that is a reference tot he Avengers/Fantastic Four cross over few decades ago when the Skrulls lost their ability to shape shift, and any form they were in at that time they were stuck, showed one Skrull as a light stand/gift. 3. Love the little Skrulls on the ship before Carol escapes. which were no doubt a Kirby reference.

Hey since you're the absolute best all-around movie reviewer of all those that I watch, and since I don't think I'll have time to do a video of myself and give this lady her do, let me point you toward an Easter egg that no one is noticing, in hopes that you can include it in your next video. the bar and she goes to to meet fury for the second time is called panchos. this is a reference to the bar in the movie The Right stuff, Pancho's happy bottom Riding Club. But the significance is deeper. Pancho Barnes was an early female aviator. A barnstormer if memory serves? I think she even ended up training our pilots during world war II, even though she wasn't allowed the fly and fight in the war herself. Quick Google search will get you all the details that my feeling memory is forgetting. Good luck and keep up the good work.

A faster than light engine is a really shitty Macguffin in a universe where warp drives and wormholes are everywhere. Not the worst marvel movie though. I was not particular impressed, but I was entertained. The talk surrounding the movie has been unbearable though.
