Why Puffy got hurt: A= Tommy is immune, so the egg can't hurt him. B= Puffy is not immune, and she hates the egg but used to love it, so maybe the egg still kind of controls her and was punishing her disobedience.

Theory (note, I may be wrong here bc I don't watch the streams live so I only know what has been uploaded here): Technoblade and Awesamdude might have been able to break the vines bc they were influenced by it in the past. Techno's attempts at taking care of the egg will definitely either make or break this theory, but this is also assuming that Techno and Sir Billiam are the same, which I believe isn't canon. By this logic, I think Bad might be the one who breaks the egg at the end of the story because he has been influenced by it, and he should at least be able to break the vines according to this pattern. Breaking the egg may be another story.

Idk if they already found out or.of it's not true but what if Dreams controlling the egg ya know I'll edit this later and explain eventually. Dream is kinda the leader since he owns the smp and because he owns the smp he can do what he want but your wondering "but he went to jail?" Well there a explanation for this.he wanted to gain control slowly and make it look like hes done for so they didn't find him suspicious. And how I came up with this is because Dream didnt want to kill tommy and tommy isnt infected from the egg and he can break it but others cant.And Dream said tommy brought affection to items and people and what does the egg do? It makes people love it and the egg has a voice to make them do the eggs task but hes not allowed there so he made the egg as a 2 plan if his first plan failed.He had power even if he was in jail.Dream was losing control so he made them think he lost full control but he just gained control by the egg.The egg wants people for control like Dream and Dream would do anything for control.
