Captain Roth's Final Message - A Star Trek Fan-Film
In this action-packed Sci-Fi adventure, two members of USS Columbia unravel a conspiracy: Captain Jason Roth went missing while on leave, and not even Starfleet Intelligence seems to know why.
A strange previously deleted message has been recovered from the Communications Logs. Could it lead to Roth’s location? With little time to spare, a mysterious character named "Dillon" comes out of retirement, and springs into action!
Will Roth survive? Find out in this exciting Star Trek fan-film adventure, filled with action, suspense, and a whole lot of heart.

I can't get over hearing myself as the computer voice. All the tv work, films and documentaries I've been in over the last 21 years, this is the FIRST time anyone has got to hear me. What an opportunity :) And what a brilliant idea, Steve, to do a continuation of one of the original series stories. Well done to everyone involved, and in particular for making my contribution to the spfx look so much cooler than I thought possible. It was a fun project to work on with such dedicated and talented fans. Well done!

I recognize the configuration of the ship.. It was a Starcruiser class ship. That was shown in the Look in TV magazines of the 1970 and 1980's. Just lightly reconfigured with Federation symbols.

I like it. It's a vignette? Seems like it could go much longer and give us more of what's going on. What is going to happen next? I thought Captain Roth (actor) did a good job though I was a little confused by how much time passed, was he laying there for months or only laying there after months? I liked your log entry/monologue too. The fella in his garage or whatever, probably could have had a little more "in universe" backdrop/costuming and the guy on the screen at one point was a little odd sitting in front of the UFP logo (green screen) but all in all it was pretty cool to see some fans putting something together to tell a story in the universe we all love.

Roth has been in the custody of the androids for 4 months. As his weakness sets in, his mobility and energy were almost nonexistent. The cell he was in, has been the same cell for the 4-month duration. Not a vignette at this time... The ending is way too blown open for a continuation. Thanks so much for the comment. Thank you for that review! Absolutely valid constructive criticism. What did you think of the Computer? To answer your question: "Vignette?" Sort of, but more like (a 12 minute long) part 1 of 3. We anticipate editing all the parts together into a director's cut (maybe 20-30 minutes total) the month after the entire story is released. Regarding the backgrounds, yes, we had some green screen challenges, but didn't let that stop us. We put LT Griffen (the guy in front of the UFP flag) in front of a UFP official communications background, and zoomed in on the other actors as a compromise. We don't know very much about Star Trek universe (we only saw the great movies with William Shatner when we were children), but your short movies was very interesting and the music was AWESOME (we'd love to get your music composer, Jeff Thomas, working on our Star Wars and Terminator projects !!!!) !
